Is there a new cook?
by Cleftwain at Citysearch
My wife and I have been going to Turner's for over 7 years. We've always had a great meal there and it was once one of our favorite spots. I was stunned by just how awful the cooking had become on our last visit. After a 45 minute wait we were eager to have some of our favorites. I ordered the shrimp scampi and my wife ordered the mussels dijonnaise and Tuna Sushimi appetizers. The linguini for the scampi was cut into small pieces and wasmushy. Tasted like something that came out of a can. The dijonnaise had a bitter aftertase and the tune came in really small bite-size portions that were not trimmed well. Other people I talked to said they also had a bad experience there recently. I hope Turner's reads these reviews and takes a look.
- Pros: Good service.
- Cons: Awful cooking and portions were small. Used to be excellent
Don't know how to cook a lobster and vastly overpriced

Terribly over rated. Went twice and was surprised that these guys dont know how to cook a lobster.
Boiled/steamed lobster was OVERCOOKED. Other dishes disappoining. Poor value and vastly
overpriced. Sorry but there are many other really good seafood restaurants in Boston and this is not
one of them.
- Pros: Really none!
- Cons: Overpriced. Dont know how to cook a lobster
Good, fresh seafood

Seafood was very fresh. Dishes were tasty. Service was good considering the restaurant was constantly busy. May be a little noisy at times.
- Pros: parking in back
- Cons: slightly noisy
Favorite Seafood Restaurant

I allways enjoy my meal here, the local color adds a lot, and now they have additional seating. Use their "call ahead seating" if you do not want a long wait on weekends.
- Pros: moderate pricing
Expected More

This is my second time here. I recently went this weekend ( a party of 6 )and the fried seafood has a bland flavor. The lobster pie..too oily and/or buttery - took away from the lobster meat. The haddock my friend had said it was too dry.The fresh tuna was the best. The waitress we had didn't crack a smile the entire night.
- Pros: cute place
- Cons: average pricing, bland seafood
