Stay Away From Club One....
Overpriced health club with snotty staff. Don't let the bright lights fool you, it's just another big building with too much stuff you'll never use.
I only wanted to work out for six weeks and the salesman (Mark) said I still had to pay the registration fee ($175.) and some 'paperwork' fee ($50.) and the month to month fee of $120.00. I joined on the 15th of the month and was charged a full month.
Then, on the 1st of the following month (2 wks later) I was charged another $120 smackers. I was told upon cancellation it'd be "adjusted.". This membership incuded my 3 year old daughter just FYI.
After 6 weeks I go to cancel and am told I'd be charged another $120. For the following month.
Huh?
After ranting to the manager, Ken, he went to go have a pow wow about it and decided to not charge me the last amount. Gee, thanks.
$465. dollars later for 6 weeks (I actually only worked out every other day) of exercise I'm done.
I requested a personal trainer contact me...no call. I set up an appointment with a massage therapist and am told upon arrival "oh, she just got married and is now on her honeymoon.". And, amazingly enough they expected me to be jubilant with in consideration of this person's marriage. Are you kidding me?
Don't even get me started about the pomposity of most of the staff. Just a disgusting display of "humanity.". I will say the daycare people were excellent. I was very pleased with that staff and would give them 5 stars if I could rate them separate.
But, in all honesty, I'm not there for the daycare, I was there to get down and boogie.
I'd rather boogie on my own bike at home in Seattle. I was on business in Petaluma and just didn't dig the scene or being ripped off. I concur with the other poster about disclosure and what should be a transparent experience.
Their tactics are like it used to be in the 80's.....Tainted Love...…
Why don't you disclose your membership cost. Why don't you post your fees and costs on your website? I called to inquire and was told I would be transferred to a membership consultant. Why play hide the ball about money? Are your fees that exorbitant? Haven't you heard there is a recession on?…
