What I remember most about my night out at the Lizard Lounge was that it was quite dark - not just dim like in most bars but really dark. I think it was supposed to do something to the ambiance but for me, I just didn't care for it!

Find out who is playing and what type of music it is before you go, this place can have some wacky music let me tell you, I went there and it was a 9 person band dressed in all pajamas ranging from the ages of 25-50 with 13 different instruments, they were a mix of Ska music and Jam Band music. All in all it was a fun place to go but not at all a younger crowd. Prices are average for Boston, and there is a good amount of space although the ceilings are relatively low. The service was great and the people hanging out there were friendly, it's a definate spot to try out but I cant guarantee you will make it a regular spot.

Their poetry slam/open mic every Sunday is so much fun! The people are so nice and the drinks are wicked good. It's a fun and friendly atmosphere and a great way to end/start the week.
