In Short
Situated on the second-floor of a small shopping plaza, Bombay Club enjoys a prominent perch high above a heavily trafficked portion of Harvard Square. A favorite of expatriate families and homesick students, the restaurant offers a varied menu of regional favorites, as well as India's latest culinary exports. Top choices include aromatic Pardah chicken (made using a 16th century recipe) and an exceptionally piquant Achar Gosht (tender lamb roasted with hot peppers).

We were there on Wednesday night for dinner with friends and some older members of the family. The basic service water came after 15 minutes and that too when the restaurant was not even half filled. Waiters looked like Drakula's in total Black uniform. They were outspoken which they must not. The Older persons with us were not willing to eat so we ordered 6 entries . The Waiter insisted us to order more entrees , we explained him the reason still he was speaking in a not so good tone . I mean who is he to tell us what to eat and what not to. Food was bland and naan breads were too small compared to what are available in other Indian Restaurants.

This was my first time visiting Bombay Club and the restaurant was a major disappointment. We were waited on very poorly, never getting water when we needed it and given ONE paper napkin to wipe our hands instead of the usual cloth. As said before, the only thing that the waiters brought willingly and quickly was the check. We opted for lunch buffet. The food itself was very bland and lacked the taste of spices that is normally entailed with Indian food. On top of that, the food was never replaced, cold, and there was limited choice for the entrees (6). The rice was not cooked very well and the chicken had a weird texture. Keep in mind we went on Father's Day since I wanted to take my father somewhere nice. My father was disappointed and that is enough for me to never go back to Bombay Club.
