In Short – Colorful contemporary prints are plastered all over the walls, and the candle-lit tables suggest a kind of romantic intimacy. The menu leans toward Italian, with lots of pastas, but the execution is more New World than Old, with dishes such as a roasted pork loin stuffed with black olives. Befitting the restaurant's name, there's a solid wine list that contains over 60 bottles.

Great food, great atmosphere

My husband and I really love this place for a great meal. The first time we went, we brought our son, and though they did their best to accomodate us, it was clear that this is really a date night kind of place.
When we ventured back without our son, we really had a great time. Both the food and the service were fantastic. We were there to have a romantic dinner and when our waitress noticed that a large (loud) party was going to be seated next to us, she asked us (before the other party was seated) if we would rather move to a quieter spot. She did a great job anticip[ating our wants and needs throughout the dinner.
The food? The food was incredible. From appetizers, to salads, to entrees to dessert... we were not let down once. I highly recommend Grapevine.
- Pros: Lick your plate good food, good wine list
- Cons: pricey (but worth it), not really kid friendly

The Grapevine has a lovely ambiance and great Fish Chowder! Any dish they serve is delicious. There is a woman bartender that always remembers the wine that I like. Some servers are not the friendliest but overall the place is great

After reading Zagat's thought i would give it a try!
Now i know why it recieved 4 1/2 stars!!!!!!!!!! Boston's best food without driving into Boston!
