AUTHENTIC CHINESE CUISINE. If you are looking for some AUTHENTIC chinese cuisine, Su Chang's is certainly the place. My family and I lived in Hong Kong for 4 years and experienced first hand, what REAL chinese food is. The food we had here brought back some great memories. We will return again and again. The service was exceptional and the food was delivered fast and hot. We had the beef with black pepper and the fried noodles with pork and vegetables. Both were excellent.

Su Changs needs to make Changes. I had a chance to visit Su Changs yesterday afternoon . I have driven by the place many times over the years, I should have kept driving by yesterday as well. The place is very pretty from the outside and the inside as well. Thats about it.. We ordered the Appetizer plate which consisted of spare ribs on the bone, and the beef teryacki were so tough they could not be eaten without fear of breaking your teeth, the fried shrimp were tough, and the chicken wings and chicken fingers tasted like something you would get from a takeout joint at 2:00 in the morning after a night out at a club. I would not recommend this place. Right up the street there is a smaller place called Sugarkane on Lowell St that the food is much much better.

One of the North Shore's most popular spots for authentic Chinese fare.. In Short
With a handsome bar area and tastefully appointed dining room, Su Chang's provides its patrons with a classy environment in which to enjoy its award-winning dishes. Popular menu items include shrimp-stuffed eggplant, salt and pepper pork chops, and Hong Kong steak (filet mignon topped with a shiitake mushroom sauce).

GREAT!!. This is a favorite! I grew up in New York and haven't found Chinese food like this in 10 years up here. The food is light, fresh, NOT SALTY or BROWN with soy sauce, well seasoned, spicy if you ask for authentic, and well presented. Try the Hng Kong Steak (filet mignon with mushrooms!), the Yang Chow Rice (with everything), and Swan La Chow Show if you like wontons. I could eat here every night.

Doesn't stand out. The food here is as americanized as you can get. It's really not a place that stands out from the hundreds of other Chinese places I've been to. The service and ambience are good, but I'd suggest that if you really want a special dining experience, go somewhere else.
