Great Spot for some Summer Fun!. This place is in Newburyport and the warm weather is coming. It's right in the middle of downtowna and has a great menu ! The prime rib is off the charts and their chowdah is what you expect in Massachusetts. Stop in and then walk the waterfront for a great night out. Dont miss this place.

Great place to get in out of the cold.
Holidays back home in New England already set a great tone. My wife and I took a mini-vacation between Christmas and New Year's Eve to Newburyport on a very cold and windy day.
The Grog was one of the only places serving lunch, so the place was packed. We got a seat in about ten minutes and ordered up some pints of beer and bowls of clam chowder (creamy) and seafood chowder (tomato broth). We ended up switching back and forth for nearly every bite unable to determine which was the best.
I rarely get to Newburyport anymore, but the times I have been to the Grog in the past the place is always bustling, the staff a bit hurried, but attentive, and the entire place bursting with history!
