Love, love, LOVE this place

We have been going to the Causeway since we discovered it about 4 years ago! I hesitated writing a review for fear that others will flock here and make the wait that much longer than it is now. The food is excellent, large portions - easily two people can share an entree. Shabby decor but that is what makes this place such a gem! Love that it is BYOB! Very convienent haveing the liquor store next door!

Best seafood in Massachusetts, probably all of New England!

Best seafood in Massachusetts with huge portions reasonably priced. During the summer the wait to dine can be a long one but people do wait and that says it all about the quality of the seafood.

The resaurant is quite small and the crowds are large so the only outstanding features are the quality of the food and the speed of the service. The parking is limited so most folks will park accross the street in the Yankee Fishing Fleet Parking lot which is nearly empty in the evening.

On my first visit the folks at the table next to ours raved about the food and reported that his friends from Cape Cod said it was the best seafood they have had. When his baked haddock dinner arrived it appeared to be enough to feed a small family! The fish chowder is outstanding, best I have ever had, with large portions of white fish making it a meal!

If you want outstanding seafood, visit this restaurant, you will not regret your decision!

if you want oversized, overwhelming portions that make you sick after eating and crowds

gets very packed..dont know why..food is not all that great and not worth the wait to get in. i would not rate this restaurant even close to what it is.

Out of the way Gem

A great place for seafood. Go there in the winter with the locals. It is a long wait on summer weekends. The food is great and is a great value. Try the fish chowder. No liquor on premises, but you can bring your owm and there is a package store right next to the restaurant.
