“Friendly people and the prices were reasonable, my son loved playing the video games.”
“They also have probably the best prices in the area, 2 dollars for s.”
Well, I'm sorry.
I apologize for those other reviews...they were over the top.
It is a good bowling alley and a lot of places don't even have bumper bowling....
very upset with candlewood.
I've been to 35+ bowling venues in Massachusetts, and this place is not only the worst, but the only bad one. I've had better experiences going to bowling alleys are closed down and no longer open.
I wrote the first review for this alley, but, I've changed my mind about the place. I realize I have my own personal grudge that others don't have, but I'm very unhappy with this place. Hey, I need to grow up, but is it amoral to use bumpers once in a while on your lanes? I've used bumpers at other lanes, and I realize those other bowling venues were probably wrong and Candlewood Lanes was right (sarcasm), but, I guess they didn't want my business. They forbid me to use bumpers.
The owner/manager took offense when I said that it is tough getting the pins down here. But, it is for me and easier at other places. (Maybe not other people). Not meant to be an insult, but the owner took it personally.
I've figured out one hell for me -- if this were the last bowling alley on the planet. I don't know what I'd do. I'd probably do imaginary bowling.
I felt they were petty. It is sad to me that a n adult can't use bumpers on his own at a bowling venue that has bumpers because the rule is that only if an adult has a kid with him can the adult use the bumpers. Using bumpers is an interesting, enjoyable, helpful experience for adults - not just kids.
