Horrible Experience and Even Worse Customer Service

My fiancee and I were extremely disappointed with this restaurant. We ordered a Wonton Soup, a Spicy Thai Chicken Soup, a Kung Pao Chicken, a General Tso's Chicken, and a large white rice as a take out order. First, let me point out that the rice was the best part of the meal. The Wonton Soup was basically hot water with vegetables in it. The only taste in the soup was from the vegetables soaking in the watery, unknown liquid.

The Spicy Thai Chicken Soup was not much better. While spicy, it tasted like... dirty water. The smell of the soup (and of most of the other food) reminded us of rotten cabbage.

The Kung Pao Chicken was perfectly cubed, diced chicken with vegetables, chili, in a watery broth of what seemed to also be rotten cabbage water littered with an overpowering amount of MSG and salt to cover up the actual taste.

The General Tso's Chicken was as tasteless as I can imagine. While I did order the dish without green peppers, I wouldn't think that it would remove every ounce of flavor from the dish itself. I have never eaten anything as bland in my life. And to top it off, we spent over $30 on our entire order.

I must say, though, that the worst aspect of our experience was the "customer service" we received in response to our polite complaint to the manager (over the phone). We called to inform the manager of how we felt about the food and were asked to drive back 12 miles to the restaurant to prove that we weren't simply trying to get a free meal. I was told by the manager, "I'm not sure how a person who orders General Tso's Chicken without peppers expects there to be any taste in it." Are you kidding me?!?!?

Needless to say, we will NEVER return to or recommend this "restaurant" to anyone we know. I haven't written too many reviews about dining experiences, but an excellent one or poor one such as this warrants the time I've spent to write this.

best chinese food in billerica

The bartender was awesome there. The food was cooked to perfection. Much better than that disgusting ricks cafe where the food was so salty and sugary I almost lost my lunch. The woman at the register was so rude, my son asked for xtra hot mustard and she yelled at him that there were 2 cups in the bag and that would be enough. This place has been around forever and has always been very consistant. Great job. I will definately drive the extra few miles to have great food and service. Everyone else here was very pleasant also. It was an all around great experience.
