Things move SLOWLY at NEDA

In short: The dermatologists at NEDA are nice but the office/organization system lives under a rock/operates 5 days later than the rest of us functioning homo-sapiens.

In depth: I have gone to NEDA (Northeast Dermatology Assoc.) twice now and the treatment that I have received is outstandingly bad. For my first appointment, I wasn't taken in until 45 minutes after my scheduled time in spite of the fact that I'd already printed and filled out the first-time patient forms prior to arrival. While that didn't lead to a great first impression, at the time I was just happy to have someone look at my skin. The dermatologist was okay, so after my first appointment I was a bit annoyed but nothing too major.

During the second appointment I received two prescriptions. For the past two weeks I've been battling with NEDA to just have them fill out and send two silly fax forms to my insurance company (fax forms that they were supposed to obtain. Instead, I had to call the "For Doctors" line and get it to them myself because they wouldn't do it). I got a call yesterday (over a week since I sent NEDA the forms!) from my insurance company saying that they still haven't received a fax from my dermatologist's office. Now I leave for college tomorrow and my skin cream is MIA because of their sloth.

After hearing from my insurance co., I wanted to call NEDA to see what the deuce happened to those forms, but NEDA's office closes at 4:30, 15 minutes prior to when the insurance co. called. I did get through to NEDA today (10 minutes after they were supposed to be back from lunch) and they had, in fact, received the fax forms from my insurance company. Turns out they only felt like sending one of them in and will be filling out the second one by the end of today. Brilliant! All of this for one stupid form...
