This is food court faire?. Very tasty and almost economical Indian food- if you are not sizing up against lunch buffet prices! Have never had a bad dish there and have been pretty adventurous!
Good Value, but Not the Greatest..... This place offers convenience & good value - the menu is fairly extensive & the food is decent (especially for mall food). However, the chicken in the vindaloo and other curries was not that good - it's rubbery & not very flavorful, the chai is absolutely horrible, and the palak paneer is mediocre. Highlights were the chole (garbanzo bean dish), the delicious lowfat chopped salad they sell near the register, various naan offerings, and the aloo gobi. I found the food sufficiently spicy as well - although this may not suit the weak stomached!
Authentic Indian cuisine and inexpensive prices lure shoppers to the Burlington Mall's food court..
In Short
Perfect for a quick bite on the way home from work (or on the way to the cinema), Gourmet India's Burlington Mall location keeps convenient hours for its loyal patrons. The kitchen keeps customers happy by dishing up tasty interpretations of standard Indian favorites (lamb vindaloo, chicken tandoori) at bargain-basement prices. Vegetarians feel right at home, as half the menu features no meat (try the saag paneer, a goulash of spinach and farmer's cheese).
Best Indian food I've had in Boston. I don't think I've had better food since I left India. The food there is great and the price makes it all the more enjoyable.
Lip Smacking Good!. I have yet to find better value for money and taste/quality at another Indian restaurant in town. I just wish they would rotate their menus around a little more - I've had their Vindaloos for six years now... (no complaints - just that change is good...)
