Rude, Obnoxious and Utterly Unprofessional

I had the unfortunate experience of trying to do business with this store. On entering, the woman behind the counter was somewhat high strung, took the item I was going to send and while shaking it, asked if it was fragile. When I explained what it was, she quoted me an extremely high price to 'pack and ship' the item quoting 'parts and labor'. I asked if she were serious and she became incensed. I told her that I did not care for her attitude and she completely flew off the handle. I asked for her manager and she stated that she was the owner, Charlane King. I asked for her business card and she threw it at me. If she is the example for her employees to follow, then this store will surely soon be out of business. She is a poor representative of the UPS system and people should NOT patronize this store. In tough financial times, service and value should be paramount and are clearly not a priority at this store. If I could give the store a negative star rating, I would. Although this store is less than a mile from my workplace, I drove an additional 7 miles to a more friendly and professional location.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Poor service, poor value. I would not do business with them
UPS Store 101 - Middlesex Tpke Ste 6, Burlington, MA 01803-4925

I live in the Midwest and I was going to bid on an item on ebay. The seller only provides a Local Pickup Option, but it is a good deal. So, I found this UPS store (independently operated) online and see if they would take the item from the seller and ship it to me. They were rude and could not comprehend instructions over the phone. I asked them for a quote over the phone and they said they can't do it because it is near "Christmas" (I called on 12/8/07 - Saturday) and they have a long line waiting. I called FedEx Kinko down the street 781-229-8080. They were a lot more helpful than this one was.
- Pros: N/A
- Cons: Rude and not helpful
Horrible Serive, outrageous prices

I've been forced to use this stores services a couple of times because I work nearby and have the need to send things out overnight or use their notary on occasion. The bottom line is they are very unprofessional (sometimes rude) and their prices are consistently higher than alternatives. For the EXACT same service of priority mail that the US Post Office offers, they charge almost TWICE as much. Just for the convenience of having them take it.
Now I drive an extra couple miles to go to the USPS or use the FedEx Kinkos down the street. DO NOT USE this store!
- Pros: convenience
- Cons: prices high, slow workers, rude
