Great Windows
by judy kocur
I wanted to upgrade my 14 windows because some storms were stuck and wouldn't open,. I called and was offered a sales rep the next day. I thought 3 hours was too long for a presentation but the windows, triple pane and UV filtering sold me along with the written recommendation from This Old House on avoiding vinyl for my size windows.
I like the fact that they're locally made, custom built and have a lifetime warranty.
The price was very high at about $23,000. He told me that quote was valid for 2 years but would be lowered about $5000 if I signed in the next few days. I was angry at first but realized that this made sense as many people waste the sales rep's time trying to bargain down the price.
With the federal rebate and all I'm paying a little more than $1000 per window installed
The installation was fast three weeks later taking only 5 hours with 2 ecperienced installers.
I am now very cozy with the thermostat turned down, no storm windows and few curtains.!
- Pros: Triple pane UV blocking
- Cons: Epensive
Great windows & installation

We recently replaced three large single-paned windows with three stylish triple-paned NewPro windows--we couldn't be happier!!
The installation was done as promised: flawlessly, politely, and cleanly.
We did't realize how much cold weather must've been oozing from our old windows until this past weekend. We had a cold snap and snow, but our house was warm and comfy. We wish we had done this sooner.
I would gladly recommend NewPro windows to anyone who is in the market!
- Pros: Keeps the heat inside
Poor Installation
by Robert Duncan
I ordered three, large oversized swing in windows for my sunroom. The sales experience was good and the price was comprable to Anderson and other windows. When installed I was informed that the large six foot windows could not swing in since they were to heavy (I had not been told this at purchase). The installation crew was pkleasant and apparently competent. Whe completed they showed me how the windows operated, removal of screens, etc. A few weeks later when they weather turned cold I tried to lock the windows and found two did not lock. When the re-installer arrived (two hours later than the appointed time window) he was ill informed about the problem and was a bit obtuse as I explained the problem. He calmed down and went to work and three hours later had figured out how to solve the problem.
- Pros: I like the windows
- Cons: They were installed incorrectly
