“good pizza”
Indifferent. Best of Boston? Yeah, right. Had their lasagna, salad and draft beer. Salad was chopped up lettuce in a plastic box with a shred or two of carrot. Lasagna.. don't waste the money. Draft beer (a local brand) was indifferent, much better to stay with a known bottled beer. Service - ok, not unpleasant but not attentive either. Really, there are so many decent pizza/Italian places around the area, do yourself a favor and avoid this one.
upper crust ..no its NOT, winston salem, north carolina. HOT FOODS WERE GREAT. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS NASTY FROM THE FLOOR TO THE CEILINGS..went there with a group,I was shocked insects crawling on the floor, windows were dirty, tables felt like they hadn't been wiped down in months so sticky, and the parking lot was empty. hard to access, rotted wooden beams inside, place needs to bulldozed over and rebuilt..buffet is small and consists of 3 pizzas ,some greens,ONE desert, one small container of a lasagna of some type think the owner is putting all the money into his pocket ,because he sure isn't putting into the business.. so sorry I went. 7/16/2009
The absolute BEST Pizza around!.
This is the BEST Pizza around/! WOW.. I loved it.
We will come again and again and again! Forget Domino's, Forget Papa Ginos, Upper Crust IS the one!
The Boston area's finest pizza shop produces fresh specialty pies and light salads..
The Scene
This laid-back, upscale pizza joint attracts a diverse, young clientele. By day, area students indulge in a slice while taking study breaks, while evening brings visitors from the nearby cinema stopping for a post-film snack. Patrons familiar with the original Beacon Hill location will enjoy the same speedy counter service at this offshoot, but will notice a slightly expanded menu and individual tables in contrast to the original's communal eating spaces.
The Food
Creative diners mix and match from an endless variety of gourmet toppings (arugula, baby clams, Canadian bacon), and the menu suggests several tantalizing combinations. The flavorful "white spinach" (spinach, garlic, mozzarella and feta with no tomato sauce) and the carnivore-friendly "state house" (hamburger, pepperoni and spicy Italian sausage) are both highlights. Gooey calzones and fresh Greek and Caesar salads round out the offerings.
