Everyone is treated with RESPECT! ALWAYS!

My name is Kisha, I am from Detroit. I also lived in many states and cities as I am in sales and my husband travels frequently. While no one is perfect, I can promise you the blatantly negative reviews on Classic hair studio and its owner/ stylist is over exaggerated. First, small business is the heart of this country. Many times, the owner is the clerk, the cleaner and the receptionist. This does not diminish their skill in any way.

Lets address her salon location. It's ideal for those living in the heart of Nashville and the surrounding communities. I personally live in a very upscale suburb and have tried to recruit her to my neighborhood, but she chooses to stay in the community where she was raised and where her clientele will always feel safe. I know a bad neighborhood, I know what it feel like to not be safe as I was born and raised in Detroit and trust me readers, her salon is not what is described. Yes it is small, yes it is in a urban area, but it is the friendliest atmosphere that you will encounter. In addition, who can always claim that a business located in the suburbs will be friendly, and welcoming??? Who can also claim that you will have this level of service and not wait for hours for your turn?? Readers, small businesses and its owners who "do everything" is what keeps prices down, service at its best, and the no wait policy is by far hands down unbeatable in this industry!!

This young lady has not paid me to write this and I did not feel "sorry" that someone had written a bad review as this happens, I am writing this because I too originally stumbled upon her website and went to visit her salon uninvited and without an appointment. She personally greeted me with respect, answered all my many questions ( and I had about a half -hour worth of questions) she did not charge me for this consultation or made me feel as though she did not have time. Many hair stylist will charge you for this time. Directing you to her website for a consultation ensures that her no wait policy is fair, or otherwise she would be overwhelmed by the curious people (like myself) showing up and using time that someone else booked to become more glamorous. Wouldn't you expect no less if this was your time?

Bottom line, she is a busy person and YES she does run a one woman show, this is what professionals do, they step up and do whatever it takes to make their small business run successfully.

I have had three different services, each have exceeded my expectations. This type of hair service is not cheap, but she will make sure before you leave her no wait policy salon that you will be happy and more beautiful than when you entered.

Say hello to her little adorable dog for me he is a two pound cutie who will melt your heart.

Terribly unprofessional!

My experience with Denikka was nothing less than horrible! She is by far the most unprofessional and rude hair stylist that I have ever encountered! She talks down to her customers as if every single one of them is expendable. When I called with some basic questions about a sew in weave, Denikka refused to answer any of my questions. Instead, she referred me to her website. The same website that I had already browsed through and the same website that I used to retrieve her contact information. Needless to say, my questions were never answered.

Despite her foul demeanor, I still decided to give her a try. I made an appointment and visited her at her salon. The salon was not what I had anticipated or what I ever could have imagined for the prices that she charges. It was putrid! Just to give you an idea of her "classy" salon- The salon is located in a decrepit run down strip mall right across the street from a cash for gold pawn shop. The salon itself is nothing short of filthy. The floors were dirty and the salon was very poorly lit. When I entered the building, Denikka, owner/manager/stylist/receptionist/only employee of "classy" salon, greeted me with hostility, per usual. That was the final straw! I left the salon without getting my hair done and I will never ever ever go back again. Denikka needs to realize that customers keep her run down salon in business. I would rather pay $50 more at Imagine Hair Studio and be treated with dignity than to have dirt kicked in my face at class-less salon. I am worth so much more than that and so are all of you! DO NOT GO THERE!

Terrible service. Charged me more money than she should have

I don't normally write reviews but now I have to write it here b/c I feel like those 5 stars, 4 stars reviews are paid to write a review. Denikka has no respect for customers. She was rude and has major attitude problem. When I called in for consultation, she acted like it was nothing for her to lose one customer and asked me twice if I wanted cancel the appointment I made online. I still thought I would give it a try since I was desperate to get my hair done. She said she had to order the hair from one of her suppliers and I was supposed to pay for it in advance. I agreed to it. Later I found out she charged me $170 more than the cost of the hair. After 3 weeks I got my hair done, my hair started to fall apart. It was horrible and I had to cut off some of my hair to get rid of those sticky glue in my hair. I hated it so much that I never went back to the salon to remove hair extension. It's sad that she act like she's religious and say the word god in every sentence that came out of her mouth, truth is her action speaks louder than her words. If you still decided to go after you read this review, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Great Service

My name is Stella and just wanted to let people that are hesitant about going to a hairstlyist like I was know that you will be in good hands with Denikka. I have not been to one in over 14yrs do to bad experiences and not trusting anyone with my hair, but I gave it a try again after doing research on Denikka and liking what I saw. When I left my hair never looked so nice, it was so bouncy and straight. Thank you Denikka for the experience and for being so nice and understanding due to my lack of experience at a salon (insider, lol.)

WoW!!! My Girl DENIKKA know her beauty hairstyle skills. What a amazing person! She made me feel so welcome... love the pooch by the way. I love my hair and the knowledge she shared with me. All I can say my first visit will never be my last. I love this chick!!!!!
