DOC'S BLUE MOOSE DOES IT RIGHT!. For a small town sandwich and ice cream shop, this is a remarkable place. Lovely wood floors and booths and a decor filled with nicely framed historic photos of Spring Grove people and groups greet you as you enter. The Blue Moose serves hamburgers made according to the recipe of the #1-rated burger by the Wall Street Journal. The chicken bellagio sandwich comes from the kitchen of a Connecticut country club chef, and Philly steak and cheese (i.e. cheese-steak) sandwich reflects a fine recipe of New Jersey origins. The walleye sandwich with Art?s Wasabi Sauce, the Olde Salty Dog, the CCNC turkey club -- you?ve got to try them all. PLUS ? the Blue Moose has no less than 24 flavors of SUPER PREMIUM ice cream-- the hard stuff, the good stuff, the supreme use of cream. The appetizers are also superb. I, myself, tried the batter-fried onion tanglers ? easier to eat than onion rings and just as addictive. Doc?s Blue Moose does it right!

Fun hometown atmosphere - nice decor - clean facility..
Very attentive and friendly waitstaff - got a 20% tip out of me which is unusual.
Menu was varied and the burgers that we enjoyed were prepared promptly and tasted good not greasy - and the burger also included one side we had fries with one and kettle chips with the other - side portions were generous.
The chocolate malt was refreshing and satisfying.
Was very nice for a Sunday afternoon drive - close to other attractions in Spring Grove - made for a good day!
