Fabulous venue for wedding or bar mitzvah or any party

As a wedding planner, I have been to many of the South Florida's venues. Upon recommendation from a photographer, I went to Mizner Country Club to check out the venue for my own wedding. It was fairly new at the time and I had not seen it, so I decided to check it out.

I called and Angie Cleary, Banquet Manager, said "come over" ..I did and I was hooked. The place was so beautiful (much like an Italian Palazzo), and I booked my wedding there. I must say everyone that attended was totally impressed. The staff, service and food was excellent....Angie and everyone there handled my event in a warm and professional manner.

For any bride looking for an interesting and gorgeous wedding spot, the outdoor ceremony and cocktail area is breathtaking., and the ballroom is elegant and has windows, which is not the usual case in typical ballrooms. I have referred many brides to Mizner, and they have all been thrilled with their wedding...it is absolutely my first pick for any bride who has the budget for it. It is a great value and definitely a must see for anyone who is planning any kind of event.

Horrible experience at an expensive place

This is the first time that I have felt compelled to review on City Search because my experience was so unappealing. Although the grounds are beautiful and the setting was pleasing, I had a terrible experience at Mizner Country Club. After a beautiful wedding ceremony, a medicore dinner ( I wasn't impressed with the food), and some dancing, my camera was stolen along with another wedding guest's from our dinner tables. When I approached the coordinator, Angie, she said there was nothing she could do. She didn't even apologize. Her response was that it was probably a band member or a wedding guest. This was an extremely exspensive wedding (50,000+), and I was horrified at the quality of service when TWO cameras were clearly stolen and there was no effort to even apologize to the guests. her attitude was smug and rude, and I will not give them any more business. For the amount of money spent I would recommend going somewhere with a better track record.
