by rajkartus
No kind enough to hold my togo box even for 5 min, when i forgot in my table. and he treats his guest differently.
- Pros: It is near to my apartment
- Cons: No kind enough to hold my togo box even for 5 min,
not friendly

I brought my friend to Pintu's lunch buffet to try something different. I kept an opened mind and a good attitude, but the man who should have greeted us and seated us was truly terrible. He walked part way towards us and just pointed in the direction he wanted us to sit. After we guessed which table he wanted us to sit at, he came over and mumbled something. I asked my friend if he said help yourself. When she asked him if we should just start in at the buffet he acted as if to say of course. The food did not have a large selection but it was a treat to us because it was something new and different. The fritters although tasty were quite greasy. I'm glad I went just to try it, but there were few people there and a family restaurant should feel more inviting. I felt as though I was disturbing our greeter just by walking in the door to give him money. If he is the owner, he needs to stay in the back of the house, if a relative, fire him. He was careless about your success and showed it openly. Had they been more friendly, I might go back to try other things. Now I'll just go to one of the 200 other restaurants who may be happy to have my money.
- Pros: something different
- Cons: grease, attitude
Pintus Indian Restaurant
by SikkiNYC
Pintus': Hands down, THEE best Indian food I've ever had. I am from NYC where there is much culture and competition in terms of restaurants/food. You know Pintu has got to be doing *something* right, when his patrons are predominantly Indian. Pintu himself is a workhorse and puts copious amounts of TLC in to his restaurant and food. He is the owner, but you will often find him running around the restaurant, making sure the patrons are satisfied-offering free samples of Indian beer and appetizers when he can. His staff is pleasant and timely. Sometimes on weekends there is a little bit of a wait, but this is because the restaurant gets so busy because of it's wonderful food (not because of the staff doing a poor job)
The Tika Punjabi, Chicken Misala and Korma Chicken are fantastic, tender and prepared exactly to the patron's liking. He has quite a selection of Indian beer(and a pretty large selection of wine as well, but not "Indian" wine) The house Pinot Grigio is extremely smooth.
5 stars, for sure.
