not worth what we paid

by sara18star

We recently moved up to Heber and we decided to try out the Spicy Lady. First of all the service is VERY slow. They weren't even that busy and it took 45 minutes to even get our appetizers. The spring rolls are kind of lacking and the gyoza are okay, but the red pepper soup was pretty good. But other then the tiramisu, everything else was horrible. I ordered the beef tenderloin but they were out so I got it with prok instead. Mine was flavorless and my gnocchi looked like gruel. It was okay but the overall appearance of my dish was not impressive. i was with five other people who all shared the same sentiment i did. My mom ordered the salmon and that was okay but its pretty hard to mess up salmon. A thing that i thought was weird was when they brought out our dishes they had no idea what they were serving us. They were like, "I think this is the chicken but I didn't know, I have no idea what this is...etc." Very unimpressive. But all in all we had five horrible dinners, six margaritas, three appetizers and one dessert and it came out to $166. Wow. That food was even worth fifty bucks in my opnion, and our waitress did not check on us even once in the hour and half we were there. I won't eveer be going here again. oh and don't get the kangaroo.

A great place to spend an evening - top quality food and atmosphere

by crazycatguy

Who would think that some of the best food around Salt Lake is actually in a saloon on Main street in Heber City? We we're on an anniversary getaway and decide to try the Spicy Lady one evening. It was the perfect place to sit and spend a great evening talking with my wife, eating really great food, listening to good live music and a very interesting and friendly chat with the owner. The saloon atmosphere felt unique and comfortable. I appreciated not having flat-panel TVs showing ESPN. Good beers on tap and a friendly, attentive server helped the feeling that we were regulars at our favorite bar.

The food is absolutely fresh. We had the gnocci and it was warm, rich, soft and absolute comfort food. The menu could use a few more vegetarian entree options, but the one they offered did not disappoint. We never felt rushed. The owner even helped us choose a perfect desert (the cheesecake is light and fluffy - not thawed out Sarah Lee). This is the kind of place where you should plan to stay the entire evening sipping a beer, talking with friends, meeting new friends and listening to good live music.

  • Pros: great atmosphere and fresh food
  • Cons: not many vegetarian options

Move over Park City; great food and entertainment finally arrive in Heber City, Utah!

by bellanote

We couldn't believe it! Some of the best food (try their salmon!) and service we've had outside of a few places in Park City. To top that off they had probably the finest piano player we've heard in years since coming from New York City. Hidden in this little town called Heber, 20min away from Park City. It's definitely worth a Friday or Saturday night out.
