“my terrible customer service adventure”
a customer service adventure.
PLEASE NOTE THIS 8/31/2010 UPDATE TO THE REVIEW BELOW:
After filing my complaint, the company sent me a brand new mixer with my original requested modification installed.
I was told that the person who was mishandling my situation was no longer with the company and they were under new management. Nick Patel, a member of their sales team then personally arranged for me to make further equipment purchases at a significant discount as an offering of good will.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I sent a DJ mixer to DJ Pro Audio in July of 2009 for a modification. There were no repair issues, I just wanted them to install an upgrade and modification to the mixer that was not user adjustable. This company was recommended by the manufacturer to do this common modification.
It is now April 2010. I still don't have my mixer.
I have emailed and called this company constantly over the past year. Most times my emails and voice mails are ignored. The few times I get a response, I'm told that someone will call me or email me back with an update but those promises are always empty. I have email documentation of this.
After sending a particularly frustrated email in October of 2009, an employee of this company informed me that they had performed the modification and sent the mixer to me in September. I never received notice that the work was done. I never got a tracking number for the shipping. I never got a response as to why I wasn't notified.
The company then informed me that USPS lost the mixer and after more weeks went by, the mixer was found and returned to the repair company with water damage. The company promised to fix the damage and send me the mixer again. Since then, three months have gone by and after almost daily phone calls, I still can't get an update on when my property will be returned to me, either repaired or in its original state.…
Good people at Dj Pro Audio. Found these guys online and called them up. Turned out they are right here in Brooklyn, so I ended up going to their shop to pick up a couple of cd players and WOW! They hooked me up with a pair of Pioneer CDJ-1000s and I bought a Pioneer DJM-400 mixer from them too. I'll definitely go back when I need more gear.…
Helped me get back into the business. I was just getting back into the dj business, and these guys helped me out renting gear, then their guy put together a full speaker package for me. This is the only place I'll use from now on.
Good place to rent gear. I've rented gear from DJ Pro Audio on several occasions have never had any problems. Would definitely recommend them.
Very helpful - Good source for hard-to-find part. I took my old Technics SL-BD2 there to get a new belt. I'd been looking everywhere with no luck, but they had one in stock and even installed it for me and showed me how to callibrate my turntable while I was there. I was so pleased with the service, I bought a new needle based on their recommendation. If you need your turntable fixed, this is the place to take it.…
