Worst food in Suffolk. My wife and I didn't enjoy our dishes at all. We also know others who've tried Sea Levels & were also extremely disappointed as well as very turned off to the lack of cleanliness of the restaurant.

Very good service & food. I ate @ Sea Levels last weekend [9/20/09] and was blown away. The oyster appetizer was tremendous. It was oyster on the 1/2 shell heated just enough to melt the cheese topping. Others in my party had the duck cake and some other duck concoction. I sampled both and they were great, rivaled my oysters. My main course was the steak w/bleu cheese, potatoes, creamed spinach. Cooked to perfection, tasted great, and paired with a great glass of Cabernet. Others had the swordfish and chicken & shrimp. Everyone was quite satisfied. Plentiful portions, quite full and content @ the end of my meal. My wife had a brownie w/malted milk ball ice cream desert which she raved about for days.

Prices were reasonable -apps were around $8, entrees were in the mid $20

LOved it so much, plan on letting my brother take me there when he comes into town tonight.

The Best Food on Long Island!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. My sister and her husband live in West Islip and told my husband and I that they found a fantastic new place to eat in a cute area of Brightwaters . So one night we went, we live in Commack and drove about 20 minutes. Well now we try and eat there at least twice a month. They serve the most delicious food we have eaten in a long time. Monty is both the chef and the owner. He and his wife Karen are the most friendliest and hospitable people we have had the pleasure of meeting. The duck cakes are so succulent they melt on your tongue. The crab cakes also please the palatte. The specials are always wonderful!!!

They are famous for their swordfish and risotto and If you think Peter lugars steaks are good then you have never tried Monty's. Sometimes when we go we do not know what we are in the mood to eat so we ask either Dennis or Kristen the best waiters around. They always offer great service and let us know what is great that night. The martinis are terrific and every occasion they come up with a new one either pumpkin,or pomegranite even gingerbread. I cant wait to try the new spring martini. The wine list is also very impressive. Every month Monty tries to have a cooking and eating class we go and have such a wonderful time learning how to make the wonderful food prepared there and we taste different wines and liqours this month its beer night and special foods to go with it .We cant wait. One day we spoke to Monty and his wife and found out he has been a chef in very impressive restaraunts and decided to open his own.Well we are glad you did. Thanks guys for giving us a restaraunt in long Island worthy of Manhatten. We needed it! Also, try the creme brulee UNBELIEVABLE! One more thing if you want to go out to a movie or just want to hang and have a drink and are hungry they have the best bar menu ever. Try the little bugers juicy and tender and amazing you also meet the best and fun people sitting at the bar its a great place to just hang out and make friends.
