Have to agree with all other reviews - "The Worst!!!"

by KVH at Citysearch

My wife and I wanted to try out this restaraunt as a possible caterer for our annual Christmas party. So we went the other night and sat in the lounge side. It was cold and very noisy even though it was not crowded. We started with a Wedge salad that was okay, but had too much dressing. The real dissappointment came when our entrees arrived (before we finishe out salad). I had the Papa Veal and my wife had Veal Eggplant.

Both of the meals were swiming in a thick, overly sweet with odd spices tomato sauce. Both of our veal dishes were tough and dry. I asked for more plain pasta to see if it would help - it did not.

So we did not finish our meals and asked the waitress to ask the manager to come by. When he arrived he did not listen to any of our complaints, but just said he was the highest rated Italian eatery on the North Shore with top reviews by Phatom Gourmet and others.

Needless to say they need to come back for a reality check - DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTARAUNT!!!

  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Noisey; terrible food and management

DON'T GO HERE!!! Terrible establishment

by Jeff K at Citysearch

DON'T GO HERE!!!!!

What an awful experience my family had ordering take-out from this restaurant. We ordered two pizzas and an appetizer. When I went to pick up the order they thought I only had ordered one pizza. Fine, mistakes happen. They then refused to make me another pizza because "it was Friday night, and they were too busy." However, I didn't want one pizza, I had ordered two pizzas!! I needed two pizzas to feed my family.

After begging to get a pizza made they said it would take 30 minutes to get my pizza because there were many other orders ahead of mine. You would think that if they had made a mistake they would have tried to rectify the situation and put the pizza I ordered almost 30 minutes before in right away, while my other pizza sat waiting.

The pizza I got wasn't even that good after the ordeal I went through. For the price we paid, you think it would have been a better pizza. Next time I'll go to Bertucci's, because even they were better.

My wife called to speak to the manager to share the lack of customer service I received at their establishment. She was put on hold for a few minutes before a young girl, the "manager" came on the line. It ended up not being the manager and then she was put on hold again. Finally, the real manager, or owner's wife, came on the line. Instead of apologizing for the experience we had, she kept saying, "but it was Friday night, but it was Friday night." There is no excuse for receiving poor customer service. I understand that it was a busy time, but she could have asked to speak to my wife the next day. No, instead she hangs up on my wife. I'm astonished what poor customer service this establishment has.

I was previously in the pizza business for 6 years, and that is no way to run a business. It doesn't matter what night it is, you should always try to accomodate all customers and listen to concerns to improve your business.

I would definitely recommend never going to Teresa's!!!

  • Pros: Nothing, awful experience at this restaurant
  • Cons: Customer service, poor ownership, food

NOT a family restaurant

by marie3927 at Citysearch

Teresa's boasts itself as a family restaurant, but my family found it just the opposite. As a celebration for my grandmother's 87th birthday, we decided to try Teresa's on a Friday afternoon at 430. When we arrived and told them we had a party of 11, they told us that they could not accommodate us. Mind you, they currently had two couples occupying two tables in their "spacious dining room that accommodates up to 95" (as stated on their website). After questioning their statement and pointing out the vast room left in the restaurant, the hostess finally called her manager who said the best they could do was put 8 of us at one table and 3 at another (we shouldn't have had to beg for a table). When we asked if they could push some tables together against the wall, she stated that they need to keep them open because they had reservations later (my Uncle saw on the sheet that the three reservations they had for that night weren't until 730, 2 hours after we would have been gone). Needless to say, we left immediately and had a wonderful meal at a restaurant down the street. I later learned on the website that they "require" reservations for 6 or more... Really? They want to turn away business when they are essentially empty? Poor policy and poor excuse. In 87 years, my grandparents have never been turned down at a restaurant, and they certainly never will for the rest of their lives, as none of us will waste our time at Teresa's again, an unprofessional and offensive business.
