LOST MY ENGAGEMENT RING! – STAY AWAY! My husband and I went into this store to have the center diamond on my engagement ring updated. It is a unique ring we bought 2 years ago in Brazil, which is where my husband is from. The sales person, Nada, took our ring and examined it with all their tools in front of us and then said she had to take it to the back to get it cleaned so they could assess the value of our center diamond. Before she left, she made some rude comment like "you know you only lose value when you trade in your diamond". I should have walked out the door right then, because why would I want to do business with someone I feel is going to shortchange me?? Anyway, it gets worse...
She came back 10 minutes later looking all over the floor. She said to us "I have your ring, right??" We were like ummm yeahh?? are you kidding me??? She says "it's yellow gold, right?" It was white gold.
She LOST MY ENGAGEMENT RING and didn't even remember what it looked like! She then proceeded to help every other customer that walked in the door, while our ring was completely lost. After 20 minutes of looking she finally alerted the other sales persons that she had lost our ring. After looking for about 30 minutes, they wanted to give up looking and call loss prevention, but we refused to leave the store until they found our ring.
Two hours later, the manager again sat us down to tell us that our ring was probably lost and she called loss prevention and they would take care of it. They just wanted to get rid of us they didn't care that they lost my engagement ring! We refused again to leave the store until they found our ring. Fifteen minutes later the sales person found our ring IN THE TRASH barrel. God forbid we left they probably would have just stopped looking all together! Never ever ever go to this store!!
I would give this store zero stars but that's not possible so I have to give it one.
Avoid repairs here at all costs – STAY AWAY. Do not trust them with a simple watch battery replacement. I brought my Omega Constellation watch in for a battery change on Dec. 28, 2010. The watch needed to be sent to the factory, which is what I expected. The store called back two times for approval on the repairs, which I provided each time. It is now March 21, 2011, and Jared tells me that the repairs where never approved. I made multiple phone calls to the store to follow up. My watch is supposedly sitting in the factory waiting for approval. I have asked them to return the watch to me this week. They refuse to have it mailed to my house, so another trip to the store. Let's see if I actually get it back. I am furious at the incompetency of the staff.
Best Customer Service – My partner and I were randomly looking for rings. We went to Jared in Burlington and was
helped by Lyn who was just amazing. Professional, honest, funny and a joy to work with. She was courteous, complimentary and we would recommend Jared to anyone!
We will also be back to get our matching diamond stud earrings. Thanks for being so great Lyn.
