Pure Excellence

WOW! This is probably the nicest Boutique I have ever been too. When I think of boutique I usually think of stuck up, but Jan's is wonderful. Everyone is down-to-earth and kind. All the women who work there are just like us and want to help as much as possible. I went to Jan's in search of a couture gown for a wedding and I was able to work closely with the designer to make the dress exactly what I wanted and needed for my body. This was a treat since my body isn't exactly made for gowns! I am so happy with my purchase and will be back soon to shop for sports wear.

If I could give it zero stars, I would.

Contrary to their bloated advertising, this store is like any run of the mill bridal store. Save your money and your miles. You can take your chances here, if you wish, for overpriced off-the-rack ready-to-wear. "Buyer Beware!" Take warning from my own $3,630 horrible experience for my custom-made Rose Taft Couture gown for my son's wedding! DO NOT buy any custom-made or couture gown at this store. This staff and their so-called "seamstress" are the absolute worst I've ever experienced! They exorbitantly overcharge for designer gowns and merchandise, will purposely order way-oversized (profit with alteration fees), bungle with shoddy workmanship done by their so-called "seamstress", and then intimidate the customer to accept the gown. Do save your money and heartache. Weddings are once in a lifetime, precious events. Shop where you're respected and your money is valued. Shop elsewhere!

• Cons: Don't buy couture gowns here!
