Incredible Styling Skills. I was very fortunate to have Tracy Hill do the hair for my daughter's wedding. Although he didn't know us he listened to what we wanted and did an incredible job. Aside from his skills he has a great personality and was fun to be around. He was on time and I would recommend him for every day styling as well as special events. I look forward to seeing him again.

Not a great place for highlights. I decided to go to Altra Salon after I saw previous reviews on here about how great Alicia is, so I decided to try her out mainly because of the reviews and the location. I must say I was extremely disappointed. I have lived in many major cities around this country and have never had my hair done in such a way that $200 later I found myself dying it the very next day. I came in wanting an all over demi- color, cut as well as a few "pieces" of highlights. The cut and color looked good, until they washed my hair and I saw my highlights. They were horrible! At first I just thought they needed to tone down (why she didn't use toner afterwards was beyond me) however after closer inspection when I got home, I noticed that some pieces were brassy orange (did not process long enough) some were blonde and some were OMG this is Goldilocks blonde! Not only were they not pieces around my face, they were chunks and stopped in the middle of my head! I looked like a skunk! Never have I been so disappointed in my life with my hair. I figured that she should have done two things. 1) Leave bleach on just for a bit to give me some caramel pieces since my hair was so dark to begin with or 2) Let bleach process longer to give me more of a sunkissed look while weaving in small pieces not chunks. This was obviously lack of experience with foils and was surprised that she was the co-owner. Needless to say, I am not coming back.

Don't Give Up on Your Hair--ALICIA CAN HELP!. When I made my first appointment to see Alicia, I had almost given up hope that there was anyone in Nashville that could work with my thick, curly mop. The last time I called a new salon, I just asked for someone who HAD curly hair in the hopes that they could style mine. Alicia not only found a cut that worked with my hair type, she also provided the tools and advice I needed to replicate my salon look at home. Thanks to her, I feel comfortable wearing my hair super curly or flat iron straight. The final result being a VERY VERY happy customer with a head of hair that gets compliments EVERY DAY! When Alicia and Tracy opened their own salon, I was more than happy to follow them to the new locale. In fact, I'm off to make an appointment right now!

Great place, talented people. I moved to Nashville 4 years ago and Alicia is the only one who has EVER cut or colored my hair. I've gotten tons of compliments on cut and color over the years. Now several of my freinds and family go to her too. She is a wiz! I save up to go, but it is definately worth it!

Happy Customer. I'm not a 'girly girl' but I love to feel like one. When I go to get my hair cut, I enjoy having someone tell me the truth about which styles I can pull off and the ones that I can't. I sat down in the chair and told Alicia that I had no idea what style I wanted but I wanted to feel pretty. She thought for a few moments and went to suggesting some styles. Once we agreed on the style, she was off to cutting and coloring. I enjoy the fact that I can go to a salon, ask for their thoughts and know that they will give me their honest opinion. I recommend this salon to a person that either knows what they want or is willing to make a few changes in order to enjoy their look.

Great Cut. After April cut my hair, I had more compliments, even from complete strangers! Better yet, the cut grew well, and was very easy to style. The drive this up and coming Nashville salon is definitely worth it.

Tracy is a GOD. Tracy has done my hair for years now and is the only one I trust. he is very good at color, especially. I hate that he charges so much. I only go every four months because I can't afford to go more. It is obviously worth it, though: I won't go anywhere else and am confident going to him.

We drive an hour and a half for this place!. My sister and I have been driving from Sparta (hour and a half east of Nashville) for over 7 years now to get our hair cut and colored. Tracy Hill has always taken great care of us. He is so awesome! I have naturally curly hair and he always knows how to cut it. I never have to tell him what to do. He always creates his own unique haircuts and I always love them! It means so much to have someone you can depend on to always make you feel beautiful when you walk out the door.
