Worth the high prices!. The Melting Pot is a great restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. The atmosphere is romantic and classic. For a great meal for two - first a cheese fondue with breads for dipping, then a plate of raw meat and seafood with a garlic-y fondue, then chocolate fondue with fruit for dessert. It can get very pricey, but it's worth it. The perfect place for a date.

Rude.. A coworker and myself decided to try The Melting Pot since I've heard so many good things about the restaurant. Well we arrived around 4-430 expecting there to be no wait since there was plenty of parking. Well since we didnt have a reservation (which it says on the website it is not necessary!) they told us it would be over an hour wait. Well you could understand if it was busy...it wasn't. There were more than enough empty tables. I did not get to try out the wonderful experience people rave about and I will never go back to try again.

Who doesn't love fondue?!. The Melting Pot exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to go back! I love fondue, but I wasn't entirely certain that I wanted to try the Melting Pot at first. It took me a few years after it came to the Boston area for me to check it out. I heard rumors that it was a bit expensive and crowded, so I wasn't exactly jumping at any opportunities...however, when my friends suggested it *and* it seemed like a central location for us to meet, I went along with it. I'm so glad I did! The food was delicious and we had a great time. We actually decided to go with two courses only, the cheese course and the chocolate course. I *highly* recommend this idea, as we were stuuuuffffed even with only these two courses. I can't imagine having any more. The cheese came with bread and veggies and the server mixed the fresh cheese in the pot on the hot table top. The chocolate was delicious as well - a little hard to decide what to pick, but I don't think you can go wrong. Overall, I really give this restaurant 5 stars and I'd love to go back soon.

Fun for groups and dates. I happen to love the Melting Pot and have been here a few times. This is a great spot for groups to enjoy because of the nature of fondue. It's perfect for sharing!

Every table has a built in burner where the waitstaff will make your cheese fondue for you, or bring out your chocolate fondue. Every time I go, I feel like the amount of food brought out for dipping is not enough, and then it always ends up being more than enough.

I've found it's sometimes hard to get a reservation (I would strongly recommend getting a reservation before going) and it's slightly pricey, but a really fun experience.

They have a really fun and yummy Ying and Yang martini too. White and dark chocolate, and it's actually really beautiful when they bring it out. Give it a try!

not all chains are "chain restaurants". This place has been considered expensive for a long time but they are now offering a ladies night that is a great deal. Its fun to go here with a few people and get a couple pots so you have plenty of conversation and they always give you more than enough food. The meat is super fresh too. beware: the chocolate fondu WILL kill ya. After the dinner and that dessert I had to go outside for fresh air- no lie!

GREAT NIGHT. My friend and I went to The MeltingPot the other night. I had heard good things about it, then heard an ad for it on Matty in The Morning during my commute to work. I felt that it was a sign to make a reservation and couldn't stop thinking about fondue all day!! We arrived early, and sat at a high top table in the bar area. Very hip. I spotted a drink called the Strawberry Basil Lemonade- I was intrigued and ordered it. My friend had some type of margarita made with blackberries- both drinks were fabulous. We were seated soon after sipping our drinks. We walked through a maze of cozy booths, I was shocked at how big this place really was!! It looked empty from the waiting area, but I think almost every table was filled in the back. We had a nice spot to camp out for the next couple of hours. We had already decided that we would splurge and order The Big Night Out, and I'm so glad we did! We were brought our cheese selection (a delicious mixture of several cheeses with garlic and basil I think). Wow! Our waitress came back to check in (she was awesome) and we ordered our next item which was a salad. Even the salad was a mixture of flavors I wouldn't think to put together. Onto the main course!! She brought out shrimp, lobster, filet, chicken, veggies- I was so glad I didn't eat all day knowing I was coming here. All of this food- yummy!! We had selected some type of Caribbean cooking sauce which was awesome. I just kept patting myself on the back for making the call to finally come here- I don't know why or how I waited so long to try this place out. Of course chocolate was our finale!! What a great way to end a meal. Fruit and cakes dipped in chocolate, who invented this? Fantastic. If I didn't think anyone would see me I would have licked the plate clean- I didn't but I could of!! I can't wait to go back again, whose coming?!?!?

Another fabulous and delicious time at the MeltingPot !. "Another fabulous and delicious time at the MeltingPot last night!

As a stay at home mom with a hectic life style, I find the casual and relaxed dining experience at the MeltingPot perfect for me and my friends. I had been looking forward to this night out for several weeks, and the waiting paid off.

I always find the decor in the MeltingPot fascinating and very hip! My friends and I had a great table (though I don't think there is a bad one in the entire place). Bring on the cheese! I think the toughest part is deciding what to order- so far every item we have had is to die for. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. The selection of fun ""girly"" drinks is fabulous, I always try something new. Last night I tried the lobster, beef and chicken with a scrumptious garlicky dipping sauce. The chocolate was a slice of heaven as our finishing course. The only bad thing I have to say is that it ended! I am already planning our next fondue night out!
