NEVER go here. My friend went here one night and opened a tab. At the end of the night her tab was $25 and they ran her card. WEEKS later this "club" charged her account $300, which resulted in over draft fees on her account as well. When she tried to meet with the manager, he didn't show and didn't answer her phone calls. When she did finally reach him and question why he didn't show, he told her he forgot he had a meeting. By the end of the conversation, he was cussing at her, telling her he was going to "throw that money in her face." She is now seeking help from the cops to resolve this issue. I personally have never set foot in this place but now I definitely will never go. Any business professional would not treat his customers this way. So if you want to get ripped off, by all means, go to The Place.
I went BEFORE the murder, but.... Me and a couple friends went here back in September or October of 2008, and we had a good time. It was a nice amount of people there, and the DJ played some great music, new and old. While trying to find a parking spot, the attendant in the lot that's right across from it, was charging $10, so we just parked at a lot across from that one, where we either paid $5 or nothing. We were told that it was free til 11, but it turned out to be until 10:30, and we did have to wait in line for a little while... When we were leaving, there was traffic (the point of the night I like to call "Parking Lot Pimpin"), and like northfaceboy22 said, there are 30" rimmed cars causing the traffic, but I saw no guns. Either way, it's unnecessary traffic. Other than that, I didn't have any problems. However, I don't think I'd go back there. I'm surprised it's still even open!! Clubs here seem to have a limited shelf life.
BEWARE!! I can see the place out of my living room Window and there was a murder there one night!!!!. I have lived in south Nasvhille my entire life and I now live downtown where I can look down on "the place" from my window. Me and other residents that live there all agree that club is dangerous. On Fri and Sat nights when the thugs get out of the club they circle the place in there 30" rimed sub-woofered cars blairing rap music and taking over the surrounding streets by weaving in front of oncoming traffic holding guns out of there car windows. BEWARE THIS PLACE IS VERY DANGEROUS!!! One night a friend and I went into this club to see how it was inside. We were the only 2 white people in there and were staired down until security came over and asked us to leave.... Another night about 2 months ago a man was shot and MURDERED at this club, and to my surprise the news did not broadcast this on air, it was completely swept under the media. The only reason I knew a man was murdered was b/c of all the cops standing around there outside when it happened and they told me what had happened. The next day I saw photographers out there taking pictures of the murder location.... I did my own research on the place and the owner is Jimmy Churchstreet who is in someway connected to the TN State Legislature, hmmmmm maybe this is why that murder was swept under the local media.... Now the place has been repainted from yellow to Green i dont know if this means that it is trying to clean up its image or what... I REPEAT THIS PLACE IS VERY DANGEROUS AND UNSAFE FOR PEOPLE TO GO TO!!!!!
enough said....??.
The latest shooting happened early Sunday morning when a man was shot in the head at a busy night club. The flashing lights outside of a club give a different mood from the ones inside.
Lights inside the "Place" nightclub indicated a tragic murder after one man was shot in the head.
"Upon our arrival we did discover there was a male suspect in his 20s that was deceased," said Michele Donegan with Metro Police Department.
welcome to the place!! enjoy the public nuance we call a club!
Great place to go on any day.. I?ve been to The Place once, a few months back on Comedy night. I was thoroughly impressed by the atmosphere, the management, and the entertainment. There is a different event each night. At 40 years old, I?m particular about were I go, and enjoy a more mature crowd. I?m glad to see someone with flavor and style making contributions to the night life in Nashville.
Great Club for Diversitiness.
First things first, I want to give this club 20 hands up on being great at what they are doing. I live 55miles outside of Nashville and I look forward to be able to attend a real party without the MESS. I have several WHITE, ITALIAN, HISPANIC AND SOMALIAN FRIENDS THAT WERE MORE THAN WELCOMED> I believe that if you go into an establishment thinking that you are above the rest and do not get treated as if you are all that then theres always a problem or WE are (TREATING YOU DIFFERENTLY)if you know what I mean. Anytime there are more of other cultures in one place, then you have a problem being the minority. And for those of us who are the majority lets support these guys to the fulliest because with negative reviews that come from "it's all about us people" will cause another tremendous club in DOWNTOWN TO SHUT DOWN.
To the owner of this club PLEASE DO NOT STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING. THE LOCATION IS GREAT FOR TRAVELERS TO COME AND CHILL AND KNOW THAT EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SEE U SOON :)
NEED CORRECT PHONE NUMBER TO MAKE RESERVATIONS.
Could someone please give me the correct phone number to this club? I've been calling trying to make reservations for a booth for my bachelorette party and the number that is on here is not correct. Anyone know the phone number to the club? I really would like to go and see what it's all about!
Thanks!
Almost the only "Place" in Nashville to have a great time!!. When it comes to night clubs and lounges, I am an expert. I was once a highly regarded cocktail server in the night club industry for 6 years (paid my way through college) and I know a good club when I get there. I read the reviews and it was shocking to see several "White" patrons who discussed horrible treatment at the expense of their skin. I actually met a really great guy at "The Place" this past winter that happens to be white. We dated for a few months and he was never treated inappropriately while visiting the club. If my family comes in town I always tell them to go to the place. It has a great atmosphere and I love the music, especially when DJ Rage is on the ones and twos. The bartenders are great too!! My drinks are very well made (I recommend Nia she is the BEST Bartender) and if it wasn?t for the large crowd, I'm pretty sure my drinks would get to me a little faster!!! Every club has its ups and downs and the security can be a little firm at times, but hey that?s what they get paid for, I value my safety. The owner is very nice and he actually mingles with his guest to make sure they are having a good time. The only thing I can say bad about "The Place" is they need to learn not to have their guest waiting outside for the appearance of a large crowd, its cold outside for the most part. If your family is is town, white or black, and they love Old School & New School R & B and Hip Hop, this is the place. If you want to see a live band or catch a great comedy show, this is "The Place". Highly Recommended, See ya Saturday!! BTW NO MORE SMOKING... People have to go outside now to smoke!!!
i still cant hear but it was a good time!!. Well I went to The Place on sat. and today is mon. and I still can not hear .The music was so loud that everyone leaving had some hearing damage. The drinks are served in small plastic cups and are 7.00 or more and are mostly ICE!! Drink before you get there and you will have a good time. The music was great and hopefully my hearing will return soon!
