Excellent Service

I recently had my hair micro braided by Romie at Essence. She was very professional and considerate of her customer. During the braiding session, I was pleasantly surprised how I had no pain vs when I have had my hair braided at the African shops where I have been in extreme pain.The braides were still tight but I did not have headaches or pain. I had the hair style for one week now and I am still getting compliments.

Essence VIP makes you feel like a VIP

Amanda is my stylist at Essence. Amanda is amazing. When I go to the salon I don't have to tell her what to do to my hair. I go into the salon and allow her to create. She never disappoints me. Amanda also does my 12 year old daughters hair. My daughter does not have chemicals in her hair and Amanda works well with JoJo's natural hair. My 14 year old son has a box cut and it is three colors. Amanda colored his hair and he is always getting compliments. I love my weekly experience at essence; definately a 5 star salon.

Excellent salon

I moved out hear about 8 months ago, and I have been to a couple of diffent salon before a came to EssenceVIP, and I wish I new about Terez 8 months ago. I like the way she talks to you about whats right for your hair. She just don't do my hair and take my money and sent me on my way, she lets me know how I can have and keep healty hair.

Outstanding styling and healthy hair & scalp care

I've been a client of the proprieter, Teresa (Terez) Zigler for more than 20 years. She has always been the very best in the far north suburbs...and I've tried many others. First of all, you can recognize a "Terez" hair style. She is the very best at short cuts and all types of color. I've worn my hair very short to shoulder length and she "works with me" no matter what my preference at any point in time. I need cut, color and special handling of a sensitive scalp. I have very thick, course hair but every relaxer I have tried burned my scalp. Terez has one that gets me straight but does not burn. My hair is always healthy and strong.

Great Salon!!!

I am 25 years old and have been frequenting Essence VIP for hair services since I was 15 years old. This salon not only provides great hair styles, but it also promotes healthy hair which is very important for any woman no matter what ethnicity.

My stylist at this salon is Amanda who definitely maintains the same, consistent attitude as Terez (owner)....one being that "beautiful hair and great styles, don't have to mean unhealthy hair!"
