Great overall experience

I can't say enough about Sheryl and her staff. They are kind, friendly, efficient, and enthusiastic, and have made each visit a positive experience.

I first visited Sheryl over two years ago to address some anxiety. During my first visit, she spent more than 90 minutes with me, and her treatment plan was extremely thorough. She knows so much about both kinds of needle treatments and herbs. She really helped with my anxiety and I've seen her since for other issues, with the same result. At times when I've really needed to come in, she has made time for me or stayed open later to make sure she could fit me in on a certain day.

Even when I'm not going in for a treatment, I'll stick my head in to say hi when I'm in the neighborhood. They are so nice!

Oasis in Union Sq! Fantastic treatment, calming atmosphere, and a wonderful acupuncturist!

This was my first ever visit to an acupuncturist and I met with Sheryl. Sheryl was wonderful, patient, and informative and spent over two hours just going over the treatment options, theories, tools, and everything you could ever want to know about alternative medicine. She REALLY listens to you and asks you detailed questions so that she can better understand your needs and reasons for seeking her help. After my first treatment, she wanted in-depth feedback and details so as to tailor my session better to meet my needs. The second session was AMAZING. I've had chronic back and leg pain for almost a decade and by the second session there was a noticeable reduction in pain. (And I've tried exercise, medication, chiropractors, massage, etc.) I was blown away with her attention to detail and the way in which she addresses the root, not the symptoms, of your pain. She also never pushes anything you aren't truly comfortable with - as she explained, "there are many ways to get at a particular pain." This was a truly great first experience (coming from a sceptic on alternative treatment) and I am still going! Highly recommend!!

great acupuncture

This is an exceptionally good place to get accupuncture: very effective, friendly, and with kind staff. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and taken care of.

I saw Sheryl because I had terrible back and neck pain. Her treatment made me feel better after one session, and the pain was almost completely gone after four sessions. She also successfully treated me for other ailments that came along the way (a cold, a bruised knee).

I would recommend both Sheryl and the other staff who work here (you can get massages here as well).

Very Knowledgeable

I went to Union Square Acupunture to get a treatment that would help me prepare for a vacation, hoping that the treatment would let me get over jet lag quickly. The office atmosphere was calming and professional. And, the staff was very knowledgeable and good at explaining what was being done. In the end, the jet lag never affected my vacation.

Amazing Results!

After my knee surgery I still had pain. I'm a pretty active person and this was really slowing me down. It finally got to the point where I had enough and wanted relief. I never had acupuncture before I started seeing Sheryl. She made me feel quite comfortable and walked me through everything that would happen. After my very first treatment my knee pain dropped by 50%. I couldn't believe it. After a couple of sessions I was able to go back to the gym and begin strengthening my knee. Between the acupuncture and the herbs she recommended, I am now pain free and active. I can?t thank her enough....
