We aren't in Seattle anymore toto! – In for Vandy game from Seattle and found Losers rockin about midnight to the best group of musicians I have ever hear. So real, raw, and talented performing their hearts out. Great crowd. Was the only one in the house wearing Merrills. Had just left the Seattle rain.
HELL YEAH – i love nashville.... I LOVE losers.. what a great dive bar with rockin live music , cool people and not a snob in the joint. The bartender Jen gets you a drink faster than you can order em and will remember what you are having everytime...and the place is packed... i love places where everyone is actually themselves... oh and by the way did i say I LOVE NASHVILLE.. i think it might be heaven..
Not that good. – The music is ok, but you really have to be a certain kind of person to enjoy yourself here. There are better options.
A Great Country Music Dive Bar With Live Music! – This was the closest bar to my motel (Comfort Inn), so I stopped by here as my last stop two out of the three nights I was down in Nashville. They have reasonable priced PBRs. They have live bands peforming here on Wed - Sat. nights. Other nights, they stream music in from the satellite radio country station. Losers also has a semi-outdoor deck in the front where you can catch some fresh air from all the smokers inside. They also have a separate room in the back where their pool table is located. The people here seem to have a great time square dancing to the live music peformances. Even though the dance floor was very small, it was crowded. The bartenders were fine and service wasn't too bad. However, sometimes you need to wait a while for your drink on busy nights. The only negative thing I can say about this place is that the patrons here seem to be extremely "clicky" and are not too social with outsiders. If you're from out of town, they're going to know it and not pay you any mind. Unfortunately, I was there by myself and felt a little like an outcast here since nobody really wanted to converse with me. I think I had NYC written all over my face. Yes, the partrons seemed friendly, but just not social towards out-of-towners. Perhaps this is just a "southern thing" because being from NYC, I find people at the bars there much more social and always willing to strike up a conversation about anything. You'll have a much better time here as long as you bring a friend along with you. However, I would definitely go back to Losers next time I'm in Nashville. This was one of my favorite bars in Nashville for the music and the atmosphere, minus the anti-social patrons. Also, don't over-dress for this place. Everyone here wears jeans, flannel shirts, and overalls.
a real raw kind of "bar" with great live music & drinks – This place is a real Nashville hangout with a mixed crowd of Vandy students, drinkers, all ages, and sometimes you will see a few people in their 50's or 60's even. People seem to have real fun here. I think it is because of the plainness of it all that lets you focus on the talent. The band is really what makes it. I have been a few times and there is a duo and sometimes three of them or so. If you like harmony singers and great covertunes of all kinds, this is the place in Nashville. You can walk to a few of the other clubs right around there too. I had a pineapple upside down cake drink that really tastes just like cake! EXCELLENT drink.
The Best Live Band – Great country music bar with the best band in Nashville. Always fun but have to watch your bar tab because you will be overcharged.
with a name like Losers... – Losers is kind of a music hangout. There seems to be a regular crowd who sort of hangs out there. They have an awesome jukebox of old country songs & they usually have 2 or 3 people in the front corner singing cover songs. Pretty cool. Nothing fancy.
Losers is for Losers – After years of bar hopping, Losers truly lives up to its name! Finally made it down there to check it out. I am frequent vistor of all the restaurants and bars in mid town and usually pleased. However this place is NOT good. Small venue, not very friendly bar service, over priced and the music act was dull. You are better off hitting some of the better palces in Mid-town. I WOULD NOT reccomend becomming a LOSER.
This laid-back bar lends a honky tonk vibe to Division Street, despite its trendy Midtown neighbors. – In Short
A mixed crowd of songwriters in Wranglers and preppy college students hoist mugs of beer at this no-frills watering hole near Vanderbilt and Music Row. While Golden T and a pool table keep some occupied in the backroom, others conversationalists congregate near the pine walls and hardwood floors in the main bar area. On nights when live music isn't offered, the jukebox wails with music from Johnny Cash and George Strait.
