so sorry to bother you....
I'm usually not a sports-bar person, but I can handle the atmosphere when there's a good happy hour and a friendly atmosphere. At the Corner Pub, I found only the former; the happy hour prices were good, and the bartender serves a decent double. Aside from that, though, the bartenders don't have much to recommend them; even when the bar wasn't crowded, it took the bartender 8 minutes to ask us our drink order, he rarely checked on our drink levels, and he _clearly_ felt that our presence at the bar was putting him out and disrupting his good time with the regulars.
It's doubtful I'll be back.
Cheeseburgers. It's a sports bar need you saw no more...not my thing but they have been extremely nice to me and have treated my family & friends with respect each time I attend. I still have to say they have a great cheeserburger but the cheeseburger taste better at green hills ! But Erin is always kind & helpful! I miss Franny he was a trip! Keep up the craziness ..I will always miss Granite Falls & Wayne but he's at the Palm!
Very Rude and Disrespectful. I had gone to Corner Pub Midtown for a large gathering of people to watch a football game. We had organized a group to go there and brought well over a hundred people. Well me and three of my friends were at a table watching the game and having a good time despite the fact that we got our butt kicked. Anyway two guys left and it was just me and my friend at the table. We went outside to smoke because you can't smoke indoors anymore in TN. When we got back to our table a bouncer came up to my friend and told him he had had too much to drink. Which he had a few beers but wasn't falling down drunk or anything. So very rudely this bouncer takes my friends beer. Fine, ok whatever we were leaving soon anyway. My friend was waiting on his girlfriend to come get him, and once she got there then we were gone. I had a full beer that I wasn't going to finish so I told him he could have some of mine if he wanted. My friend probably drank about 2 oz. of beer before the same bouncer and the manager came up to our table. This time they are extremely rude. Keep in mind we had been causing no trouble, we were talking to no one other than ourselves. We didn't start a fight, we weren't harassing girls, we weren't rude to the waitstaff, we tipped well, etc. The bouncer now tells my friend that he has to go! Because he took a couple of sips of my beer! He not only was rude and abrasive, he actually yanked the chair out from underneath him! We were shoved and cursed at as if we were some drunks that started a bar fight. And then they called the police. So not only did they not want us there but they also wanted us to go to jail because my friend had a few sips of my beer! I have never seen or heard anyone being treated in such a disrespectful way in my life. At no time did they show any courtesy to us. This place obviously does not value its customers as customers or as people for that matter.
Rude Employees. Corner Pub Midtown use to be a decent place to go for drinks and food until recent events. The bouncers & manager is on a huge power trip in which they have been rude to customers. They could care less about customer satisfaction. Until this bar changes the way they deal with customers, my friends and I are not going there anytime soon. The customer is always right?.not at this place!
Neat atmosphere but lacking everywhere else. I was here last Monday night and had an ok time, but wouldn't recommend it to someone looking to go out with more than one other person. Our service was slow and our mixed drinks not only came out wrong, but they were given to the wrong people so we couldn't figure out who's was who's. Then the barback or maybe he was a bartender came out from behind the bar numerous times to interupt our conversation and flirt with the entire table. We had two rounds of drinks and then moved on. I think the building is very neat and cozy, but it doesn't seem to be run well.
The second location of this neighborhood favorite adds a meat-and-three lunch to its weekday happy hour and laid-back bar scene..
In Short
Situated between Vandy and Music Row, this local brewpub draws a mix of young professionals and students. Folk-art canvases of musicians ranging from Hank Williams to Frank Sinatra hang along the red stucco walls in the dining area, while neon beer signs and Titans' memorabilia line the walls and sliding glass windows in the hopping bar area. A plethora of flat-screen TVs keep sports fans appeased over their fried food and frothy pints.
