Elevating the area's nightclub scene to world-class status. Creating a true hot spot where high-profile patrons can eat, drink and dance in simmering, sumptuous style. Oh yeah, and collecting the largest variety of tequilas in Texas. Yeah, we've got 'em. Unless you've been in a coma since September 20th, you probably have heard about my nightly live music and hot live groups. I serve up everything from country to blues to rock n' roll - all coming at you via state-of-the-art sound, lighting and video systems. In Short – With its stone portico entrance and phalanx of parking attendants, bouncers, and doormen, Glass Cactus creates an imposing presence in an otherwise-isolated patch of prairie. The scale is so grand as to be overwhelming, with 39,000 square feet total, including two floors and five bars. The interior boasts the same surreal decor as the nearby Gaylord Texan Resort. The clientele consists of guests of the hotel, as well as locals looking for some live music.

One of a kind

Very unique and impressive place built overlooking Lake Grapevine. The view and the building are the best part. You definitely are helping to pay for the fancy building and the view every time you buy a drink. I would say it is worth checking out and you will quickly ave your own opinion. I am not in love with it but it is a fun place to check out every once in a while to do something different. Definitely a nice amenity for those staying at the Gaylord, but I would also recommend to those people to make the short trip over to historic Main Street in Grapevine and check out some of the places over there.

You have got ot be kidding! This place is a joke, STAY AWAY!!!

First impression, parking; of course the hired valets utilize the close by parking for their conveniance... STRIKE ONE. Then the POS "ID Taker"; " we have to check all id's" he grabs our licenses and then scans them into a scanner, uh, EXCUSE ME, privacy!, Why does the GC need our personal information? they DON'T, Strike TWO.Then we walk in as "VIP Guests" (Our party of 6 reserved a table, min $100 per couple had to be spent). We are "escorted" though the fairly nice lobby once the hostess felt like it was time to take us to our "barnlike "table. Stepping on a dirty, sticky floor into a large high school auditoriuom we could tell very quickly that this JOKE of a place was not anything that it is cracked up to be. STRIKE THREE (We have been there for 6 minutes) Then the $250.00 bottle of vodka, the pain continues. Drinks that could not be made to our liking by a very inexperienced hostess and a crowd that was circus-like to put it mildly. This is NOT a NY club, this is not a SOBE club. This place is simply an overpriced joke of a wannabe that will never be. Low class, cheesy, overpriced, dirty, obnoxious. It is a wonder that ANYONE patronages this establishment.

  • Pros: NONE
  • Cons: Parking, door "guy", dirty, overpriced, atmosphere
