Overlooking the famous Sonny Bono statue in Mercado Plaza, this upscale bistro pleases both the 20-something drinking crowd and the more mature diner with carefully crafted cocktails, chargrilled burgers and even steak and seafood selections. We had a lot of fun!

I was in Palm Springs for a convention, i was part of a party of nine people who showed up for drinks. It was busy, yet we were all treated like V.I.P's. We had about six rounds of drinks, needless to say I will probably post another review about the cab that drove us back to the hotel. Will make it back next time we are in town. A great time was had by everyone!

Strictly for the Pizza

The pizza is fantastic, but the service is young, pretty and clueless. Anything else on the menu is strictly routine. There are 20 restaurants in walking distance better than this tourist trap.

First Time

I've heard good reports on the pizza at Matchbox. Unfortunately, when we went, we were not up for that. Due to a confused hostess (Dec. 2009) we settled for a quick drink and appetizers at the bar. Our waitress didn't know how to mix drinks (where was the bartender?), the appetizers were extremely bland (esp. the calamari ...pure chalk texture) and the staff inexperienced. I'll come again to try the pizza, but this was a bad first time experience.

OK. This is a great place for Pizza and a beer. I LOVE this place. Late nights here with a Peperoni Pizza and a glass of Chimey and I'm in bed by 2AM! nuff said. GREAT QUALITY FOOD! I truly love their pizza! :)
