I called the hotel seeking information about hosting a party (baby shower) for a family member. I asked for meeting room rates. After giving some generic information the person on the other end told me that she was unable to help me because, "we are going away from that type of party. I'd have to get it approved by the hotel manager." I don't understand why a hotel would completely ignore one specific group for parties. Especially when they could have made money off of it. Oh, well, I guess they just want to gear toward Birthday Parties ONLY.
