STAY AWAY
by Chriswa at Citysearch
My service ended with the owner calling me a F___ ing "N" word and me calling the police. But let's start from the beginning. I ordered a meal to go. They charged me before I received the order and included a 15% gratuity. I complained about the gratuity and asked for it to be removed. Later I heard the waitress ask the cook whether they made the order really hot. I took it back to the hotel, but it was way too hot to eat. I returned it but the owner refused to refund me. When I opened it to show it was not eaten he grabbed it and it spilled all over me. He then called me expletive "N" and I called 911.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Bad food, service, rude owner
GREAT GREAT GREAT

I've eaten Indian food at all of the restaurants in Nashville, as well as several places in New England, and Tandoor is , hands down, the BEST Indian food I've ever had. The staff is really great, and while several of them are new to Indian food themselves, they are always trying new things to give recommenda...tions to others. The owner is the nicest guy, always coming to visit my wife and I on the 2, 3 or 4 trips we make every week. We love the buffet, but the personal touch we get with dinner is wonderful. I really do not know what the negative reviewers are expecting, but they either don't have a clue what Indian food is, nor want to know, or they can find something to complain about anywhere. Tandoor is GREAT!
In regards to long wait times, this was true when it reopened after the fire, but the kitchen and wait staff has been sorted out and the only wait now is while your food is being prepared. We take our time and enjoy our meals now!
- Pros: Excellent food and service, friendly staff
- Cons: NONE!
Negative Reviewers are Crazy

Every Meal I have had here has been 5 star. I have tried every Indian restaurant in Nashville and multiple others throughout the states and this is by far the best hands down. I am originally from Scotland and Indian food is almost the national fare so I feel I know what I am talking about.
Pros are as follows:
It is the ONLY Indian that does lamb on its buffet.
It has a buffet for lunch for 7 dollars every day.
The evening meals are wonderfully presented and the kitchen will custom cook items not on the menu (we regularly ask for peshwari and keema nans with no problem.
The owner comes out and greets customers.
I don't know where previous reviewers ate but it was not this restaurant.
- Pros: The Food, the Price, the atmosphere
- Cons: none
