RJS has the best selection of prom dresses. Wonderful people and great deals! Good customer service! They need to advertise more; no one knows about them. The best deal on TUXEDO rental in town. They have great tuxedo rental starting at $59. It's amazing! The best kept secret in town. Nobody can compete with their selection and prices!

This place is terrible. I'm sure there are people who have had positive experiences here and gotten the dress of their dreams. But what happens when you have ordered your bridesmaid dress 14 weeks before the wedding, and RJ orders the wrong dress and it doesn't arrive until the week before the wedding? I called for weeks asking where my dress was and he kept saying "it will be here tomorrow," but it never turned up. FINALLY, the week before the wedding, "a dress" shows up. But he never called me to tell me. I had to call and find out that it was there. Then, I drove an hour round trip with a sitter to watch my children (who i had to pay), only to find out that it was not my dress. So RJ said "I'm going to call Alfred Angelo and see what happened". He soon discovered that he had ordered the wrong dress, even though it clearly said on my $142 receipt, the number of my dress. So i had to go in for a 4th time!!! Which meant i had to find someone to watch my kids AGAIN and pay them. So by now, this dress has cost me about $500 in gas and baby sitting costs. Upset, i go in again so he can fit me into this other dress that i don't really like and it doesn't fit me. So he takes some measurements and says that it should be ready by Wednesday. The wedding is on Sunday!!! I'm thinking, what if you still need to make alterations??? I told him to adjust the bust line because it was far too small and i would be falling out of the dress. He said "OK". I go in for the 5th time for my final fitting. He hadn't changed the bust line AT ALL. I asked him about it and he said "Oops, i forgot!!!!" I was fuming by this point because that meant i would have to come back again. I said, "I cannot keep coming down here!!! I have two children that i have to find someone to watch and i live 30 minutes away which is an hour round trip for me! I want a refund because this is completely unprofessional." After watching his cogs turn in his head, trying to figure out a way he could tell me that i wasn't going to get much, he said "i can give you $25 back." $25!!!!!!!!!! Are you freaking kidding me! I have spent close to $500 already because of you!!!!! He then said that the dress had been reduced from $200 odd dollars and we got them at a deal, and that the alterations cost him $42. Well boo hoo!!! I did everything right and you did everything wrong, and now you want me to feel sorry for you because you ordered the wrong dress and now you have to pay for it. RJ, you are soooooooo unprofessional. Eventually, after i practically begged for more money back, he gave me $50. Woo hoo, I feel so much better now....NOT!!!!! I will NEVER go there again and i will NEVER recommend this store. BUYER BEWARE! Oh and by the way, I got the dress 2 days before the wedding and had to go somewhere else to have it altered AGAIN because they screwed it up and it looked awful. Thanks for nothing!

This store is a complete sham! We had a wedding and chose Alfred Angelo bridesmaid dresses. This was the only store in this area that carried/ordered these dresses. (UNFORTUNATELY!) All of my bridesmaids in this area (3 of them) ordered their dresses from this store in time for them to arrive for alterations, if needed. One of my bridesmaids was completely shafted by the store manager, RJ. Her "dress" arrived and it was the WRONG DRESS!!!! RJ had ORDERED THE WRONG DRESS! We had given him the right number when she ordered it, but he ADMITTED to ordering the wrong dress and making the mistake. We expected for him to do everything he could to correct the mistake... right? NOPE. All that happened was this. We had to demand that he have alterations done to the dress (which my bridesmaid hated and will never wear again!). We also had to demand that he give her a refund. My bridesmaid (I feel so bad for her) had to make 5 trips out to this store JUST because of all of the mistakes that they made. Every time, she had to get a babysitter, since she has two little ones under the age of 2. So, not only did she have to drive 1-hour round trip every time, she had to PAY for a sitter because of RJ's stupid mistake. All-in-all, she ended up paying over $500 for expenses+$100 for a dress that she didn't like and will never wear again and had grief from RJ, making her feel like it wasn't their fault.

My recommendation to every single person looking for a bridal/formal store, DO NOT SET FOOT IN THIS STORE - they will scam you and scam you and scam you and make you feel like they did you a service when they are the ones banking.

I will never be able to think about that store/man with positive thoughts, EVER! He seemed like a nice guy in the beginning, but boy, was I wrong!

So Nice, Had a hard time with alterations.. This couple that owns this shop, is probably two of the nicest people I know!! I have to say, it is in a bad part of Nashville, and a tiny little shop, but they had a variety of dresses to pick from. I ordered my dress about a month and a half ago, and I need it in two weeks... needless to say, I am still waiting on alterations. I called them last week to see if it was done, they said yes, and I made the trip up there, only to find out that they were wrong, and my dress was not ready... slightly nerve racking, but this couple has my business, because other than that, they were great!!!

Bridal & Formal by RJS is the Best. Bridal & Formal by RJS at 3806 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, has it all. We looked everywhere for a prom dress for my daughter. She is very picky when it comes to her dresses. We could not find one that she was happy with. Disappointed, we practically gave up. Then a friend of hers told us about RJ s. It was so close and we did not know about this store! We went there and we were amazed at the selection. She not only found her dress there, but she found so many that she fell in love with. There were so many to choose from. After two hours trying on dresses there, (Mr. RJ was very patient) she finally selected one. She was happy and I was relieved. They are very helpful at Bridal & Formal by RJS. This is an amazing store. Dorothy Hammond

RJS was great!. I am an extremely picky person with basically every aspect of my life. When it came to Prom dress shopping, I dreaded it. I am also a commitaphobe. My mom and I stopped at RJS first to look at dresses and I found a dress that I liked really well. However, being unable to commit without seeing all the options, I still went to six other Prom dress stores to try on dresses. After three hours, I finally ended up coming back to RJS and buying the dress I had liked in the first place. The workers, Celia and Mr. RJ, were extremely helpful the entire time. They were very attentive and she knew a lot about dresses and what style would look good for my body type (she even knew what size I was just by looking at me!). The store was not dirty at all (although it was in a shady part of town) and the dresses were easy to find and look at. They also offered to order a dress offline if I couldn't find a specific one I was looking for. I received an extremely great price on my dress and there were no problems with paying or altering. I'm very excited for our Prom now! Thank you very much RJS!

Best Prom Shop in Nashville. Bridal & Formal by RJS is the best prom shop in Nashville. I looked all over for a dress for my prom. I even went as far as Kentucky looking for a plus size prom dress. But, I did not find many selection in any store until I visited Bridal & Formal by RJS. They have plenty of choices. I found the perfect dress for me. I want to thank Mrs. RJ for being so helpful. She knew what will look good on me and what I was looking for. And their price was a lot lower than any other place I visited. Dudes looking for TUX need to go to RJS. They have so many choices of colors and the price starting at $69, you cannot beat it.
