flip - great for hair...so-so for other services

I had an opportunity to try all the services here. I had mommy's day at the spa.

The hair styling is first rate. I looked and felt great. My husband and child agreed.

The manicure and pedicure were fairly standard for what you paid. No special items.and this was $90 for both (Nordstrom's charges less)

My recommendation is if you are in need of a great hair stylist..this is your place.

If you want your nails done and you want to be pampered go to Nordstrom.

Great Salon, Talented Staff

Flip's decor is quirky and cool, as is the staff. It's a good place to go for a haircut or blowout. Shelby and Katie give good haircuts and color, and I've heard that Irene is good too. I can't speak for the rest but I know they're not the kind of place to hire just anyone. Like any salon, the tab can add up pretty quickly, but that's to be expected. I've had incredible cuts there and good but not great cuts, but never a bad one.

• Cons: Can be hard to get an appointment

awesome salon

Careful and skillful stylists in a really hip yet comfortable space. They don't have the attitude you sometimes get in nice salons, and they give really good haircuts, which is really the point, isn't it? Absolutely recommended!

• Pros: Good cuts, nice atmosphere
• Cons: parking can be a little rough since you have to keep feeding the meter
