Great authentic Mexican food. Located near the tracks on Carlton, I knew this was going to be authentic, when I couldn't find the store and had to to call for directions. The woman who answered started speaking in spanish. Rated by many others as the best Mexican food in Charlottesville, it was quite good. I ordered tacos and agua de horchata, my wife ordered nachos and a coke. The tacos were spot-on: just pork, chopped raw onion, cilantro on two soft tortillas. Aqua fresca was great, I ordered another to-go before leaving. Wife's beef nachos were a little short on beans and were made with processed cheese sauce. The processed cheese made the nachose a little sloppy to eat, however the taste was very good.

The dining room is a little small, with about four booths and seven tables. When we were leaving, there was a party that was waiting for a seat. (This is probably a combination of the great food and small dining room.)

If I lived in C-ville, I would keep going back here and trying different things on the menu.

I would go back here in a heartbeat. The only (overcomable) issue here is the parking lot of the strip mall where the restaurant is located. It's apparently always packed and very difficult to get and out of. Park in one of the nearby lots and walk over.

Great refried beans--a good sign. This place has great food--it's very authentic. Especially their refried beans are delicious. It's a family-run place with very plain ambience; simple but comfy. I only have been one time but intend to go more.
