Worst Asian Cusine in Goldsboro. Koi's is not the place to go if you want to eat Far East Cusine in Goldsboro. I have eaten there and agree with the prior diner's comments. The Food is bland and lacks in various degrees. For instance, General Tso's chicken should be hot but sweet, not just sweet with caramel. The egg rolls were problay just frozen and not prepared on the premises, Mei Ling's egg rolls at wal mart beat this place's by a long shot. The atmosphere is nice and romantic, but the sanitation standards for the Health Dept needs to be met. The Silverware came out wrapped in a napkin with dried food scraps on it. I understand about them being in the downtown of Goldsboro as a new business in a very old building. Food and Health standards should be met then customer service. Henceforth, The owner should rethink about reestablishing food service and then work on the customer's experince within their establishment. The other Two Resturants, mexican and Irish are booming with return customers. The owner should take heed of the other's success for themselves.

Don't waste your time, seen better times.. The food is okay but the staff and the ownership are awful. This restaurant used to be halfway decent but I guess the new has worn off. Portions are half what they used to be and prices have gone up. Sorry, that type of value doesn't work in Goldsboro. The staff messed up our order twice then refused to correct their mistake. The lady (owner) was very rude when we asked to correct the situation, which never happened. I hope this restaurant ends up looking like the rest of the downtown area, dirty and empty.

A great reason to head downtown!. Koi is not your average "order by the numbers" Asian food. We were happy from appetizer, main course, to desert. The atmosphere is wonderfully quirky (look up at the ceiling when you sit down), the food is fantastic and varied, and the service is top notch. Our host and server made sure we wanted for nothing and never had to ask for anything. Our group was very pleased with the entire experience and will be return customers.
