SERIOUS PIZZA!

If you love high-end pizza and hard to find beers, this place is like heaven! Seriously, the pizza is truly unmatched. You're not going to find anything like this at the local Italian joint. The crust was perfect. Crisp on the outside, fluffy like pastry on the inside. Real brick oven pizza, cooked by people that obviously know what they're doing. Not greasy, just purely awesome. And the beer selection? It goes on and on. It would take months to try them all, something I just might attempt.

Bremerton's best pizza. Keep up the good work!

• Pros: Probably the best pizza I've ever had. HUGE beer selection.
• Cons: Too small. Hard to get a table on the weekend. Only one bathroom.

Never actually ate here

And I haven't because of my first service impressions on two different visits.... the other reviewer is not off in their opinion. I've heard the food was good and might go see if the new owners can change my impression of the place.

Good food cannot make up for bad service. Ever.

Worst customer service of any restaurant...

Wow, am I going to the same restaurant as the rest of the reviewers? We are talking about the hole in the wall next to Safeway, right? Anyway, the pizza is fantastic, the beer selection is above average. However the customer service is horrible. I thought it was a one time thing, but I have been back twice since, I have never had to wait for a seat and the most packed at the time I was there was 4 other customers. Yet service was slow, taking at least 15 minutes (on the best night) before even being acknowledged. You may say, why go back, well, it is usually a pulling teeth thing, friends want to go, and they have to pull my teeth. I probably will never go back. I would rather have good pizza and great service than fantastic pizza and horrible service. There is a balance and this place does not have it. Stay away cause you will be disappointed. Head down the street a few blocks and just get a CloverLeaf pizza, and you will have alot more fun as well.

Worth a try!

I was wary of The Toad House at first....It's in a strip mall, not a normal place for a pub. Some of the staff are alternative-looking, to say the least. And, there's no bar to belly up to, well, no stools at the bar, anyway.

Once inside, the strip mall disappears: the interior is transformed...they even made the acoustical ceiling look like wood. Very cozy and pub-ish, I would say. The staff are really friendly and attentive, despite their punk flavor.

The food is somewhat creative and quite tasty: I recommend the Toad Pie if you can handle Goat cheese.

The beer and wine selection is probably the best in the county.

As for the lack of bar stools, well, that's why I give them four out of five stars--not very comfortable for a solo patron.
