Moonlite BBQ is the place my friends and I plan to eat supper when I'm in Owensboro. My favorite salad is the bananas with peanuts. Its almost a dessert and something you don't find often. There are all sorts of versions of barbecue with vegetables to go along. Cream and fruit pies, cobblers, cakes and an ice cream machine to top it all off. A friend of mine who lived there once described it as the house of pain. I agree but it's the good kind.

Yes, Virginia, there is beef brisket bar-b-que in Kentucky! I found it at the Moonlite Bar-b-que; along with one of the largest, highest quality buffets anywhere. This is a massive restaurant with old-fashioned waitresses. Just an excellent place to have a fabulous meal, and then you can buy a can of their burgoo to take home from the gift store. PROS: Excellent quality, good value CONS: You'd never have enough room to try everything

This is a wonderful restaurant! They have the most wonderful buffet! My family who lives 8 hours away always asks if we can go there when they come out! This is down home good ol' BBQ!
