“He set me up on the fitlab adjustable bike and I began warming up watching the power meter, slowing increasing up to about 220 watts just cruising long at a very consistent comfortable pace.”
“Can this leap be a case of "new-bike-itis" ...sure...but that does not explain the run improvement, that was based on the bike fit...I had fresh legs.”
“If you're looking for the best selection of high quality bikes and accessories, the most passionate staff, and the best fitting and mechanical services in the area, ATA is the only place to go.”
“Additionally, ATA is great place to drool over high performance bicycles and/or just to talk bikes on a Saturday with the friendly staff.”
“would recommend ATA as the best place to go for excellent fitting, really nice bikes and a place you will want to go back to.”
“They make use of fitlab software and laser technology for a custom fit and the owner Husam Sahin and his friendly staff go the extra mile.”
“Purchasing a bike is a big decision and it's great to know there is a bike shop like ATA that you can count on for a great selection, reasonable prices and outstanding services.”
“that why we all haul ourselves out of our comfortable beds, lounge chairs or whatever our comfort zone is to put ourselves into that state were a 5 hour ride seems like 5 minutes.”
Bring ATA Cycles to Chicago so we can have the best Bicycle Shop too....
How good is ATA Cycles? As my screen name implies, I am from Chicago. We have several good local bike shops in Chi-town however; I had the pleasure of talking with the owner of ATA Cycles in the spring of 2006 when I was searching for a particular Italian frame which they had in stock. The owner, Husam, was very helpful, extremely knowledgeable, personable and passionate about the sport of cycling. I quickly came to the conclusion that what sets ATA apart from most other shops is their desire to put you on the best bike possible according to your riding style, needs and budget. You never feel as if you are being sold something to meet a sales quota. They work with you and for you.
I shared my experience with several of my buddies and they all had the same comments. Recently several of us decided to take a trip to ATA, or as we call it ?Bicycle Mecca?, where we were treated like lifelong friends. The staff at both shops actually knew us by name and the bikes we purchased even though we had never seen each other in person. Husam took the time to fit us properly (note: the fit system that they use is state of the art and was worth the trip) and he answered each and every question. As a result, two of my buddies walked away with new top end bicycles that were perfectly configured and sized for their needs. I walked away with not one but two of my dream frames and the knowledge that my power output will be much better when I set them up because of the time I spent being fitted by a professional whose goal is complete customer satisfaction. We will be back? and we will bring more converts to ATA?s Bicycle Mecca.
Best Bike Shop!.
Ingenious bike fit system optimizes performance and solves any issue that riders may encounter.
The staff here will not only make you faster, they will make you more comfortable as well!
Very professional and expert staff. They know their product and will help you every step of the way.
I highly recommend their services.
Best Bike Shop in the East.
It might be the best shop anywhere, but I haven't been to everywhere bike shop in the world, so I can't be sure.
ATA Cycle in Concord is clearly the best shop I have ever been to. I have purchased two bikes there in two years, and both were incredible. It's a bit of a leap of faith to have them fit you, then work with them to select a bike based upon what you tell them, but they have not been wrong with me, nor anyone else I know who's purchased a bike there. They will let you test ride the bike once they've set it up after fitting you, but every and all corrections we made after the puchases were completely minor. Their bikes are the best.
They don't carry major name brands. Don't go there if you have a big brand name in mind because of heavy marketing. What they do carry are bikes that really work, and really work for you, and they stand solidly behind everything they sell. Their knowledge and expertise are clearly at work in their selection of bikes. They might be slightly more expensive than large, high volume stores, but they carry better stuff, and I don't mind paying for knowledge, experience, and top quality service. I have been to many other shops, and I know a lot about bikes, but these guys know more. They are the best, and the best deal around if you really know and understand value.
Great Service!. ATA cycles provides a great selection of products and amazing customer service. As a pro triathlete I need to have my bike finely tuned and they keep my bike running smoothly. I recommend working with Husam to get your perfect fit so that you can feel more comfortable on your bike. A great shop with great people.
ATA Cycles, Concord, MA.
How many pro bike shops would you be willing to drive 350 miles round trip in one day?
ATA Cycles (ATA) is the best pro bike shop I have done business with in the past 20 years. Husam Sahin, owner of ATA, is an accomplished cyclist, who only cares about one thing...accomplishing whatever goals and objectives his clients set out for him.
Husam constantly searches out for the cutting edge in technology, understands the importance of due diligence, and always seeks to bring the best the cycling industry has to offer his clients...this is truy invaluable given that the average cyclist does not have the time to fly to Europe looking for the cutting edge in technology.
When you call ATA, you are greeted by Husam, Kate, Robin and John...the staff is friendly and very helpful. Husam works tirelessly from the early morning hours to satisfy his clients...he opened the doors for me before hours since I drove 175 miles from Connecticut.
I will be a loyal client for many years to come.
At last, a REAL bike shop.
Quite simply one of the best bike shops that I have visited - period. They went to great lengths with me to custom fit my new road bike perfectly for me. There's no such thing as an "off the shelf" bike here. Even though I bought a Giant TCR, they stripped it down to the frame and re-built it as a bespoke custom tailored bike - all at no extra charge (indeed they rivalled the best online prices).
I cannot recommend them strongly enough.
Absolute best bet for cyclists in Boston and suburbs. Highest recommendation. Owner Husam Sahin is a dedicated professional who takes a personal interest in his customers' cycling needs. I recently upgraded from a good road bike to a great one. Husam guided me through the selection process and emphasized that how much I spent was my call--he'd match me with the best possible bike for the price. He has a high-tech computer-and-video-assisted sizing system that results in a made-to-order (or better) fit. I ended up with a great road bike that is so much more comfortable to ride than my old one that riding it is almost like a different sport. I'm sure the other serious bike shops in the Boston area are good, but I'm also certain that none is better than ATA Cycles. If you want to be taken seriously and treated professionally whether you're an elite cyclist or simply an enthusiastic rider, go to ATA Cycles.
The right fit.. I've always known that having a bike that fits can add immeasurably to your enjoyment of cycling. But for years getting the right fit seemed elusive at best--even my custom Seven never felt quite right. Last September that changed when I discovered ATA Cycle in Concord, a real neighborhood bike shop with the best high-end equiment around and a smart, friendly staff who knows what they're taking about. I got fit by Husam, who spent three times more time fitting me than the shop where I bought my custom bike! I rode out of the store a week later on a Look 585 that fits like a tailored suit--it's more comfortable, I ride about 1 mph or more faster than before on my standard routes, and I have the best, coolest, top-of-the-line components on the planet--like StrongLight cranks, an Selle SMP saddles, and Reynolds bars. You won't get, bottom-line, Internet prices, but you do get great value and advice--well worth a couple of extra bucks to make sure this shop stays in Concord.
Best bike fitting, service, high-end bicycles. If you are looking for the best pro bike fitting, this the THE store to go to. The owner, Husam, is a real pro. They are selling high-end bicycles, such as italian and french road racing bikes. The serivce I experienced was fantastic. I went to the store to get a bike fitted that I had just bought at another store and that gave me problems. Husam convinced me that the bike was not fitting my proportions and I ended up buying a new one. Having a bike that fits really changed my cycling abilities. My speed and endurance increased because the pain in my shoulders, back, hands, and butt is gone. They gave me a substantial discount on the bike and even sold my old one on eBay for me. I spent more than I wanted, but it was so worth it! I would recommend the store to anyone who is interested in serious cycling. They have no attitude, spend a lot of time with you, and they have the most beautiful bikes around.
I bought a new bike after Husam gave me a new fitting. He recommended a few changes that would improve my fit, power and fluidity on the bike. I have knee problems and have had 2 serious back surgeries so change is always hard for me if I think I have a "good enough "fit. But I trusted Husam and am here to say he got me totally dialed in and I don't think that I have ever felt this smooth and strong on the bike as I do now!!! He told me I was set to far back on the saddle and that this was causing me to pedal with my lower back and put too much pressure on my knees and he as correct, again!!!. In all the time I have known him every suggestion he has made has taken my cycling up a notch and this time is no exception. If you are looking to make a change in your cycling at any level put yourself in the Master's hands at ATA.
I was on my yearly diabetes week long tour when my carbon crank arm became loose, the result of a crash I had the month before. I had to abondon the ride which was a big loss for me. I came directly to see Husam and Robin. They fixed my bike with campy record cranks and I have to say this is my first exp with Italian components and I was sold!!! I only ride Italian bikes but this was my first campy crank and BB and it is sweet!! Moves like BUTTER!!!!. I trust my cycling to the folks at ATA and have never been steered off course. Their willingness to stand behind their work and products is unmatched in the market place! July 2009
I have been going to this shop since it opened and absolutely love it. I have owned 3 different bikes, bought wheels, components, a trainer etc. I love the fact that the owner is so smart and capable about his products, and stands behind his shop 100%. I have never been let down or disapponted by any advice or info or products that I bought there. My cycling has improved 110% since I started doing business with them. I would not hesistate to refer anyone who is interested in improving their riding to go there.
The state of the art sizing equiptment will help even the most challenged rider to get dialed in correctly.
The people who work at the shop strive to be helpful and accomodating where they can be depending on what the customer is looking to do.
I would recommend this shop without reservations.
