Awesome! – I've been here several times. It is by far the best restaurant in
town. I drive from Richland to eat here (and I HATE driving from Richland!) The view is awesome,
especially at night when you can see all the city lights! The food is
always great. There's a great variety of foods to choose from, and we
are never disappointed! Anytime I have family in town, I always take
them here. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is great.
We've never had bad service, and our food has never taken more than 10
or 15 minutes, even on a busy weekend. I highly recommend you give
this place a try!
A Classy,GREAT Place to eat!! – My cousin and I decided to eat at City View after a long exhausting day of shopping. Needless to say we were starving, so we both were looking forward to having a tastey meal. We werent disappointed! The food was awesome, the atmosphere classy~ although we didnt feel out of place at all with the way we were casually dressed. It was starting to get dark outside,so the city lights added to a great dining experience. The view was AMAZING and we agreed that City View would also be a great place to take someone new to the Johnstown area or to impress a date.We definately will dine there again!
WOrst dining experience of my life! – We had been looking forward to this dining experience because the Incline was where my husband both proposed and we renewed our vows there. Our daughter (9) wanted to get all dressed up and go. It was the worst dining experience of my life. For 4 cheesesticks it was 10 dollars. The salad had a fly-size insect in it to which the manager said "Well there is really nothing we can do to prevent that." They did offer a free dessert after our meal and took the salad off the bill---my stomach was sick after the rest of the meal! Onto the main course of which my husband and daughter both ordered 17.00 steak dinner. The steaks, ordered well done, came out brown on the outside and RAW in the middle. When we sent them back they just came back burnt on the outside and cooked in the middle. My dinner, the open faced turkey sandwich and mashed potatoes was decent but the potatoes were not mashed--they had huge chunks of potato in them along with the skins (large pieces) in it. The drinks sat empty with no offer for refill. When asked how our meal was and my husband told the manager about the steaks she did take one of the steaks off the bill and said, "Well I can't take the other one off because you are taking it home." We had asked for a to go container to take the steak home for the dogs because it certainly was not good enough for us to eat, had we known they would take it off the bill we wouldn't have asked to take it home. So for 3 people and paying for drinks, cheesesticks and one steak dinner with a salad it was 46 dollars. Now mind you I have no problem paying for food that is good, that was not a complaint. Had the food been good I wouldn't have minded the cost. I would not recommend this place to anyone.. you want the view, go visit the Incline Plane but grab dinner elsewhere!!!!!!
I had high expections for this restaurant because in the past we had enjoyed the food at the Westmont theater which was owned by the same person a while back... sadly disappointed!!!
