Tips for Animal Medical Diagnositic Ctr

I've been bringing my cats to Dr. A for many years now and I really don't think there is anybody better! He is so knowledgeable and he is an advocate for their health. I am so happy that I have him to look after them.

Anytime I have an emergency I know that Dr. A will drop what he's doing to take care of my animals. Its nice to know that he's looking out for them.

Money hungry and inept. Once you get. Money hungry and inept.

Once you get past how nice everyone is (which they should be) and get down to the type of care provided you can really see the issues. I brought my cat in as he had gotten into a scrap with a neighbor cat and received a wound on his side which become infected. Upon having the exam, I was advised the only option to treat my pet was surgery. Very important, immediate, necessary and, you guessed it, expensive! Of course, I started to consider his recommendations as anyone would when consulting a professional. Then he said something which took me back. I asked if an antibiotic might have an impact. He said no, not an option as the wound doesn't have blood vessels in it and the medicine wouldn't reach the affected area. Now, I don't know much about medicine, but I do know white blood cells fight infections and to tell me that an infection inside the body cant be fought off because blood vessels don't reach it sounds like an attempt at misinformation to sway my decision. Either way, after quite a bit of reluctance the Dr. agreed to administer the medicine in lieu of surgery. ($550.00 less than surgery) Sure enough within 24hrs my cat was fully healed with no signs of infection and was back to running and terrorizing my other, older cat, as per usual. Granted, I understand pushing the $600.00 surgery option vs. the $50 antibiotic from a business perspective as you need to make money, but if its come to the point where you're making decisions based on business and not the care of your patients then you made some bad decisions along the way and need to close your doors. I find this to be morally reprehensible. Just think, besides the monetary aspect, of the pain and suffering I saved my pet because I DIDN'T listen to the Dr. How unwilling he was to even try the antibiotic before he crammed surgery down my throat....

5 star, no doubt about it.. I have personally and professionally known Dr. A. for over 25 years. I can give you many examples of how this office goes above acceptable treatment protocol. Many times Dr. A and Dr Heton have come in after hours and treated our pets. The staff is always friendly and shows great respect to their customers and their employers. thank you Jim.

Saved My Dogs Life. When I came home from work one day and found my beagle dog behind a chair, unconscious, and bleeding, I didn't know what to do. I called Dr. Antunano at his home and he came right over, bundled her up, and drove her straight to the clinic at 6:30 at night. He re-opened the clinic and took care of her. I've never seen another vet hospital do that before. I am so grateful because he saved my dog's life.

Reliable and Knowledgeable. Both doctors (Dr. Antunano and Dr. Heaton) are knowledgeable veterinarians who are great at what they do.That's why I take my 2 Bedlington Terriers to them. I know they receive good care in their hands. I don't trust my pets with just anyone, but I trust the vets at Animal Medical Center. -Doris G

Great Vets. We have been bringing our dogs here for years because of how great Dr. Antunano is with them. We really have a lot of trust in him that he can help them if we ever get caught in an emergency situation. We have also used the grooming and boarding services before, and they are fantastic. The dogs absolutely love their groomer, Debby. This is one of the best animal hospitals around Valrico because of the wonderful staff. We wouldn't be bringing our pets here if we didnt have trust that they would do a wonderful job. - J O

Their all going in on Friday for grooming and boarding and I completely trust that they will be well cared for. Dr. A and his staff are great! -DL

Great Animal Clinic. I've been taking my dogs here for 13 years and they have been absolutely great. What I like the most about them is Dr. A's expertise..he really knows what he's doing. They have state of the art facilities. They always go out of their way to help me out. I'm hearing impaired and they email me to remind me of appointments or anything they may need to update me about. I think everything about their office is great. -VR
