Visitors enjoy the view of the Ohio and the slowed-down pace of life in a real rivertown.. In Short
Maysville is the earliest Ohio River port of entry to the old west. It was a center for the Underground Railroad and is home to the newly dedicated National Underground Railroad Museum and the Harriet Beecher Stowe Slavery to Freedom Center. It also features a number of hotel and dininig options, as well as the opportunity for scenic strolls along the river.
