How did I not know about this place??

I pass the Neighborhood Grill going to or from my workplace almost every day. Shopping at nearby establishments over the past year or two, I have heard several people rave about the hamburgers served at this grill...so last week, I decided to try them out. Conveniently, they have a drive through window, so I stopped on my way home for my lunch hour. All prepared to taste one of their hamburgers, I changed my mind when I saw that they also offer seafood plates! I had to order the catfish platter, because I am a real fan of catfish--and very few drive throughs around here serve it. What a wonderful surprise!! The catfish (2 nice sized filets) was generous, well-seasoned, and extremely tasty! It came with a large portion of very good frenchfries, a salad, ranch dressing, and toast--all piping hot and very fresh. The day I visited, the price for this feast was just $5.99. I have been told they have since raised the prices just a little, about $.20 a meal, but that is STILL the best bargain around. Besides hamburgers and catfish, they offer fried shrimp, chicken strips, snowcones(!) and an assortment of other items. I will definitely be stopping there again soon to see what else I have been missing all this time! YUM!!

Best hamburgers and chicken strips in town! TRULY AUTHENTIC NEIGHBORHOOD HANGOUT SPOT!!!!

The food: Every single item is made right on the spot, including their amazing chicken strips! You know when you watch Food Network and they're making chicken strips and you're thinking "wow that looks good" and then you try to make it and it comes out horrible? Well you should drop the flour and RUN to this place instead. 100% white meat and this amazing bread that I can't even describe. They kick it up a notch with these incredible spices that I can't get enough of. I have to get their strips at least 3 times a week or I will go into withdrawal. Their hamburgers are amazing and the best part is that you can add whatever and as much as you want without being charged extra.

The service: Incredibly friendly young man usually at the register and the owner is an old man with an infectious friendly personality. I always feel like part of the family when I take my family to eat out here.

Ambiance: Small and quaint but it really does add to the "neighborhood" feeling. In an era when neighborhood spots are being driven out by big companies this place seems to thrive. When was the last time you formed friendships with other customers? My kids used to hassle me about going to McDonald's but now they hassle me about this place. Of course I am happy to oblige them since their prices are the lowest in town and their quality is still the best.

Must get: Chicken strips and the snowcones that are made all year round!
