Not very personable, don't return calls, makes lot's of excuses. Not a good experience at all. Unless your a friend, go somewhere else where they actually appreciate your business.

I have been doing business with Lake Appliance owner Charles Dean for approx. 8 years (give or take). I have always been treated with the utmost respect and impeccable service! The staff at Lake Appliance has always gone above and beyond any appliance center I have ever dealt with. I was not a “number”! I am now on a first name basis with most of the staff. Not only have we purchased new appliances for ourselves we have had services provided by Lake Appliance. Wes their service tech is professional, very polite, good with our dogs and most of all TRUSTWORTHY! We have left the key to our home for the service tech on many occasions!
Lake Appliance is a small business, there is no possible way they can be in competition with the “big guys” as far as pricing on their appliances. However, the prices maybe a bit higher, but you get GREAT SERVICE! Try calling “sears” out.. LOL

As part of my business as well as we control the email and user ratings for the top 2 largest union in CA, we rate new business and companies in NorCal on a monthly basis and upgrade or downgrade them as necessary.
I was originally just passing through Middletown and stopped in as I needed a very specific new range and microwave hood which I would have had to order directly from the company and would have cost me 2.5x the cost + delivery MORE than I paid from Lake Appliance. DON'T be afraid of calling them and ordering from them even if you're outside of Clearlake. They do this OFTEN. It's WORTH IT as their prices more than offset any distance problems and they even offered to deliver my range/hood over 100 miles away which they usually do not do and they DO make deliveries 1-2x a month to San Francisco as well as buy used appliances and A/C units.
Charles Dean, the working owner, handled my needs personally without knowledge of what or whom I worked for, and kept in contact with me via both email and telephone Their warranty service also appears great from the customers I contacted and they will work with out of area customers to get them exactly what they want and the BEST prices possible. They also have a coming kitchen and design +,install service center as well as are authorized to work on just about ANY make of appliance.
The company is under NEW ownership for the past 5 years, as it's reputation had seriously fallen, and I've watched with personal admiration as Charles Dean has turned this business around on his own. At dinner at the local Moose lodge on my 1st visit, everyone I informally spoke with gave me a great personal review of both Charles, the employees at LA, and it seemed like at least 50% of the people at the "Moose" that night had bought their major appliances from LA since Charles took over the company. My $4 (gas inflation) personal opinion. And I would send my family to them without pause.
