Tips for Mammoth Motorsports

This place is great, if you know nothing about motorbikes and are willing to get ripped off every step of the way. I came here with my fiancee looking to start up my own riding, complete kit like a suit and all the accessories and what ever else I need. The people seemed reasonably friendly. As one of the staff went to check stock in the back, my fiancee pulled me aside and said 50% of the things they were trying to sell were unnecessary, and the other 50% were ridiculously overpriced. We got everyone's business cards and said thanks and left to "do more research", but will not be coming back. They're friendly, but they TAKE ADVANTAGE of you hardcore. Go with someone who knows riding, or better yet, just go somewhere else.

Received unacceptable treatment from store staff and owners. I went in and returned a riding jacket that I had for a day and it just wasn't working out for me (shoulder seam length was too long and folded over in a weird way). I found another jacket there that suited me well and brought it to the counter. Weirdly instead of them just ringing up my purchase like any other place, they almost refused to sell it to me. Instead they just kept telling me to get a size up from my old jacket. I may be a big guy but I know the difference between a small jacket and one that isnt tailored right. And for them to keep suggesting I get a bigger size? Even though I already had a jacket in hand that DID fit me right? How is that acceptable? Im trying to give them money for a new jacket, meanwhile theyre just telling me I'm large and almost forcing me to buy a bigger size. I had had enough and simply left. Would not recommend Mammoth Motorsports.

Careful with this place. I called in asking what their price was on a pair of boots I was planning on buying. They quoted me a price that was very reasonable and one of the best I could find locally (I didn't want to ship online, gotta try em on make sure they fit you know). So I head over and when I get there, they tell me the price quote was an error. The boots are now $100 MORE than what was quoted. Strike 1. I asked if they could cut me a deal since I drove down to buy them, they said no because I misstated which boots I wanted over the phone. What?? Not a chance, I go off part numbers. Strike 2. I said forget it and turned around to leave, then the owner (Damon) made this inappropriate remark: "Yeah, thanks for wasting our time buddy." Strike 3!! A bad strike 3, too. Who the heck do these guys think they are??! Never go here. Its a joke run by incompetent people. Stay away from Mammoth Motorsports!

Sure their costs were acceptable and the work done was satisfactory, BUT the overall attitude and demeanor of the staff at Mammoth Motorsports was completely unacceptable. It's SO bad that it heavily outweighs the services provided, by a long shot. Anyone will do decent work for decent fees, but seriously what on earth will make me a repeat customer if you lack customer service? I can easily get great work done for reasonable fees anywhere, but I chose Mammoth for the supposed customer service... but boy, was I wrong. I shall take my rides somewhere else from now on.

Extremely shady business. I took my nephew's bike in after being recommended to mammoth by a "friend", who said they were one of the best. My estimate for what should have just been basic maintenance was hilariously massive. To make matters worse, I was given an EXTREMELY hard time when I refused service in order to take the bike elsewhere. They were pretty much holding the bike hostage until I paid up, and it took forever to get my bike back. So it turns out this "friend" who recommend Mammoth was actually best friends with one of the employees over there! Wow! Shady and a huge waste of time.

The worst in Sonoma County. My Kawasaki's trans died so I brought it into Mammoth. 5 weeks later I'm told they just replaced the whole thing... which could have saved me like 4 and a half weeks if they just did that in the first place. I paid crazy amounts of $$ for labor and time and parts that didnt even matter. Yeah they tried to fix something instead of just replacing (good for enviro i guess?) but seriously, its totally not worth it if you're wasting customer time & money. I coulda gotten 4 bikes fixed for the price I paid at mammoth motorsports for my 1 bike tranns. not recommended.

Stay away from Mammoth Motorsports. I talked to my personal mechanic recently and he asked who did service on my bike the last time (it was done at Mammoth!), because the work done was unacceptable quality. After my mech asked how much I paid, I was super upset to hear I was severely overcharged for it!! I really did want to give mammoth a chance, but their overpriced service, offensive attitude, and poor quality workmanship mean I won't ever go back-- and urge others not to, either.

Everytime i go in they always greet me with a smile and are very anxious to help out from parts to labor this is really the only motorsports shop you will ever need period.
