I still can't believe they sent her shoes of different sizes! And to think they're now denying that she returned them. Not a business any one should want to deal with. Your wedding is too important to trust any purchases from this shop!
Terrible shop. Terrible customer
service. They rip off customers repeatedly. Look at their BBB rating. It's an F. They have two complaints lodged against them stating they were promised refunds and then denied the money. The store has not responded to either complaint.
Not worth the risk.
They steal your money!
UPDATE 1/12:
Someone named Givilia said I never returned the shoes. I have the UPS tracking form that proves that is a LIE. They also claim that they have contacted me several times, which is also a complete lie.
They steal from customers and then lie to cover their butts!
NEVER BUY FROM THIS STORE.
They took the shoes back, and kept my money.
Long story short:
I bought my wedding shoes here. They were great in the store, but the owner, Donna Ilario, mixed the shoes up when she boxed them and sold me a size 9.5 and a 10, instead of two size 10s. I did not realize until my wedding day. I could not wear them as a result. I had to go down the aisle in flip flops!
They promised on the phone when I called the day of the wedding very upset and again by email to refund my money completely once they received the shoes back. I live in New Hampshire (bought the shoes when I was back in KY for my wedding shower) so when I returned from my honeymoon, I shipped the shoes back to them via UPS. Since they received the shoes, about a month ago, they refuse to answer email and still won't answer the phone. In fact, except for the first phone call, I have been unable to get them on the phone for almost over a month now. They have an automated answer when they do not pick up, but no way to actually leave a message.
So basically they now have the pair of brand new shoes (albeit two different sizes) and my money. I should have looked them up before I bought from them. I am not the first person they have stolen from. Shop somewhere else, trust me. Donna Ilario is a horrible business woman, and I am guessing, horrible person in general.
Check BBB to see why you should avoid this place. They have an F rating for good reason.
We told this customer to return her shoes so we could verify that they were indeed two different sizes and unworn. However, she won't return the shoes. How are we supposed to issue a refund for something that is not returned to us? We do believe it to be a manufacturing error since we don't have any mismated shoes at our store. Sites like these only give one side to the story. We have repeatedly asked this customer to return the shoes. What are we supposed to do without them? We have so many happy, satisfied customers. It's a shame that businesses are not allowed to share their side of the story.
Incredible wedding/evening shoes. I have a dress for a wedding that is the most bizarre green I have ever seen...The shoes purchased and dyed at Mr. Louis Bridal Shoes are a perfect bizarre green as well, brilliant! I started buying my shoes here for prom no need to mention how many years ago...and have continued for Derby, 5 weddings including my own and 3 black tie events. The wedding parties have purchased the shoes at Mr. Louis right down to the flower girls, and great grandma's. Not once I have received anything but courteous and superb service. The shoe selection is incredible at Mr. Louis Shoes and the dying is color perfect. I would not go anywhere else to purchase my shoes...I think they have been around for like 30 years? There is a reason for that, great shoes, outstanding quality and good people.
Horrible customer service.
Don't let Mr Louis Bridal Shoes ruin what should be the joy of shopping for your special day and obtaining something as important as your wedding shoes.
We found a pair of shoes for my fiance, but they didn't have the size (7) we needed in stock. The un-named lady who waited on us said they could order the size and have them in two weeks; we had to fully pay for the shoes at that time.
The shoes did not arrive in the stated two week period. Three weeks after ordering we called inquire about the status. The lady who answered the phone seemed somewhat clueless about the order, but gave us some line about "I just got a tracking number from the manufacturer, they should be here any day."
We stopped by the store the next day to inquire again and spoke to the same lady who had been on the phone. When we asked about the tracking number and arrival date she completely denied making any statement about a tracking number on the phone, and also said that no one in her store would ever tell us that the shoes would there in two weeks. She said she would call as soon as the shoes arrived.
We waited several more days but no call and no shoes. Out of frustration from the shenanigans, and the need to finish up our wedding shopping and planning, we bought another pair of shoes elsewhere with the intent of getting our money back from Mr Louis' Bridal Shoes.
Upon visiting the store again, the shoes still weren't there and we requested our money back. The lady flat out refused and said the shoes would be there any day. We stated that we no longer needed the shoes at this point, and didn't appreciate the false two week promise of delivery, or the "I've got a tracking number from the manufacturer" on the phone, and subsequent denial of that statement in person.
One would think that a reputable local retailer would make the situation right by apologizing profusely, refunding the money, and then return the shoes to the manufacturer; they're a common size 7, not a 13! I am still waiting 1 month later for my shoes which I do not need at this point!
Beautiful Shoes and Helpful Service.
AFter searching stores in the Louisville area and looking on line(which did not feel right for any item for my special day), a friend recommended that I visit Mr. Louis Bridal Shoes.
I was pleasently surprised at the selection and the reasonable prices of the wedding shoes. I found a pair of shoes I loved and took them home to try them on with my dress. The seamtress told me that I needed a higher heel and I went back to the store and I was able to exchange the shoes with no hassels. I found a similar pair with a higher heel that I loved!
My bridesmaids also purchased their shoes at Mr. Louis and had their shoes custom dyed. It was such a simple and smooth process for everyone!
I have recommended them to all my friends that are future brides!
DO NOT BUY YOUR SHOESHERE. I went here to find my bridal shoes and needed ones with extremely small to no heels. After informing me that she had scoured the internet and there were only 2 kinds of shoes for me to choose from, I decided on a pair that I thought might work. However, I told her that I wasn't crazy about them and not sure if they would still be too tall for my dress which was a little short. I asked her about the refund policy and she informed me that it was no problem to return them. So I bought them knowing that I wanted to continue looking online for a pair and that I also still needed to try them on with the dress. When I tried them on with my dress, they were too tall so I had to buy flats instead. As I went to the store to return the shoes, she proceeds to inform me that bridal shoes are nonrefundable and laughs in my face. She knew that I was not sure about those shoes and LIED to me so that I would buy them. This is a DISHONEST store and I would NEVER recommend anyone to buy shoes from here again.
AMAZING!.
If you are getting married, going to prom, getting ready for a pageant, or are going to do any thing that requires fablous shoes, then you HAVE to stop by Mr. Louis Shoes. My mom and I were looking through our old photo albums and we happend to notice that I have been going to Mr. Louis for all of my shoes since I was very little.
I my shoes were for Easter, First *Comminun*, Flower Girl, my first Pageant, and so on. Then we saw my High School scrapbook. High School was when I was really obsessed with Mr. Louis Shoes. I bought my first Winter Ball shoes from Mr. Louis, first Home Comming., Prom, and my friends and I just got back from picking up our 2009 Winter Ball Shoes. These have to be the most extravegant shoes yet! I can't even describe how beautiful and perfectly dyed they are. You should go check them out your self! I would reccomend Mr. Louis to any person who wants their wedding day to be perfect!
